Pomona, CA October 4, 2008 - Thousands of desert racing fans were surprised early Friday morning when a visit to the SCORE website discovered that SCORE Officials released the 41st SCORE Tecate Baja 1000 map earlier than they ever have in the past. Usually racers must wait for the unveiling of the race course map to be done among the pomp and circumstances surrounding the Off Road Expo, but this year visitors to the SCORE website discovered the charm early in the morning. A bevy of emails, text messages and phone calls alerted teams across the world that Sal Fish had debuted the official race course map to his racing customers. This year's 634-mile adventure will feature obstacles and terrain that has not been used in over ten years. The Baja 1000 prerun crew had only returned from the Baja wild days prior to the release completing the daunting task of plotting every single foot of the this epic race course.
Race day is slated for Friday, November 21, 2008 with contingency and technical inspection kicking off the day before.

Newport Beach, CA October 3, 2008 - CORR CEO-Jim Baldwin announced this morning that Rounds 13&14 of the 2008 CORR Series have been delayed because of economic woes that have handcuffed the American premier short course off road racing series. Citing a difficult decision for the growing series, Baldwin said the final date of racing, currently slated for December 6-7, 2008 at the Chula Vista International Raceway, will feature the final three rounds of racing, Rounds 13, 14, & 15. The original CORR schedule had only one round of racing in that final weekend and now CORR will feature three rounds of racing in the last weekend of the 2008 Series.
