The drivers of the Bully Dog SuperLite Championship get ready for CA
American Falls, ID (July 21, 2009) - We are half way through the 2009 season of the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series, each and every race weekend the action gets better and more exciting. A new class to off road racing this year, the SuperLite Championship has had a great start with close, action packed racing and a handful of different drivers on the podium.
“The crew at Speed Technologies (The team behind the SuperLite class) have put together an amazing format with this class, they have made the racing very even and affordable at the same time which gives new drivers a place to enter the sport of off road racing. For Bully Dog the class makes a lot of sense for our business as we are able to reach the consumer directly in various ways. The ability to rent a race truck for only $7500 for a race weekend, the amount of television exposure and the strong foundation made it a very easy choice for us to get involved” states Mike DeFord of Bully Dog Technologies.
Half way through the season the points battle in the class is very tight as John Harrah, driving the Speed Technologies truck leads by 9 points over young gun, Chad Leising in the PMG/Rockstar SuperLite, the next three places in the championship are just as close as Brandon Bailey, David Reyes and Joe Granatelli are all very close to one another. Impressive is that both David Reyes and Joe Granatelli have had big accidents this year but have remained consistent allowing them to stay in the hunt.
Rounds 7 and 8 of the SuperLite Championship are coming up July 25th and 26th in Lake Elsinore, CA. A race that is being highly anticipated as it will be the first night race of the season and there will be a number of new drivers including popular rally drive Andrew Comrie-Picard who will be driving the NOS energy drink truck and supercross star Ricky James driving the SoCal Super Trucks SuperLite with hand controls.
For those that can not make the upcoming race you can watch it live via streaming video at Tracking International. For more information about the Bully Dog SuperLite class visit www.superlitechampionship.com
