CORR Champs Selected to Race Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race as Part of Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach

Los Angeles, CA (April 6, 2006)

Championship Off Road Racing’s (CORR) 2005 Pro 4 champ Johnny Greaves and fellow Forest Country Potawatomi teammate and 2005 Pro Lite champ Jeff Kincaid have been invited to race the 30th Anniversary of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, as part of the 32nd Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Greaves and Kincaid join NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Drivers Todd Bodine and David Reutimann, and four other professional drivers, who will compete against 14 celebrities in this race for the charity, “Racing for Kids”. The two CORR champs will have to fend off the likes of Hall of Fame Quarterback John Elway, Emmy Award Winner William Shatner and American Idol runner-up Bo Bice, to name just a few.

“Overall it’s just an amazing opportunity to get to do something like this. It’s really the chance of a lifetime to meet the people involved and get to compete against them,” Greaves said of his experience.”

This year, each participant of this 10-lap event will compete through a 1.97-mile street circuit in a 2005 race-ready Scion tC. To even the playing field, the celebrities will have a :30-second head start over the professional drivers.

Both Greaves and Kincaid race next May 20th and 21st at the Nissan Off Road Opener, the first stop of the 2006 CORR LUCAS OIL RACING SERIES, kicking off in Chula Vista, California.

The Toyota Pro/Celebrity race will take place Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 12:15 p.m. PDT in downtown Long Beach. The race will air on SPEED Channel April 22 at 2:30 p.m. EDT, with encore presentations airing on SPEED Channel April 26th, 2 p.m. EDT and April 30th, 3:30 p.m. EDT.
