Rain Expected for CORR Friday Live Qualifying at 5:00 PM

April 20, 2007

Lancaster, CALIFORNIA - The CORR Nation has arrived to Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster, Californial. The last four days has seen a barren and quiet fairgrounds turn to hustle and bustle of race teams preparing for practice and qualifying, which is set to kick off here late this afternoon. Many of the nation's top off road closed course racers are here prepped and readied for the battle that will kick off tomorrow afternoon.

Weather reports from Southern California coast are reporting heavy rain throughout Friday and the weather at the track has been cold, windy and spitting of rain throughout the day, however until 3:00 p.m. the weather has only slight spit a bit of rain.

Only moments ago the skiies opened up and the rain has arrived and latest weather predictions are rain, rain and more rain.

With the CORR Nation here at Antelope Valley Fairgrounds the day has been relatively slow as teams are preparing their race trucks for the 4:00 PM practice and the 5:00 PM qualifying runs. The track is currently in premiere conditions, however if the rain continues the track may turn into a mud bowl as the track is new.

Rain and mud will not stop the CORR Nation here at Antelope Valley. DIRTnewz will be bringing you the latest from the track throughout the weekend. Stay tuned.
