Team Sticker Dude - Steven Federico
Qualifies #1 /Lee O'Donnell #6
Chula Vista, California – (May 19, 2006)
Due to the large number of entries in the Pro-Lite division, Championship Off-Road Racing instituted a qualifying for entrance into the initial round of the 2006 Lucas Oil Championship Off-Road Racing event in Chula Vista, California.
The top fourteen entrants would make the starting field on time while final six spots would be determined with a Last Chance Qualifier heat race for the final six spots.
The Pro-Lite trucks went out three at a time, running three laps keeping the best lap time. Team Sticker Dude sponsored by PF Changs, Invisible Glass, and Goodyear Tires, was well represented as Lee O'Donnell in his #23 Nissan qualified 6th with a 1:01.69 and Steven Federico qualified #1 with a 1.01:20.
In the Friday morning practice, the new offset whoop section on the back straightaway was giving us problems. Our suspension guru, Mark Krueger, along with crew chief A.J Satenstein opened their little black books and came up with a solution that seemed to work well on both trucks, commented Steve Federico.
Lee and Steve would like to thank all their supporters including: The Sticker Dude, P.F Changs, Invisible Glass, Goodyear Tires, Mechanix Wear, Toyota, Nissan, American Racing, Racing Optics, and Phil?s Inc.
