John Marking Racing Roars to Top 5 in
CORR Debut!

Chula Vista, CA
Racing in his first ever CORR Pro-Lite featured
event, John Marking drove the Viejas Casino / FOX Racing
Shox Pro-Lite truck to an impressive top five position
at the Nissan Off-Road season-opener. After a struggle
in qualifying on Friday afternoon, Marking charged through
the field of nearly 30 Pro-Lite trucks in search of a
decent finish.
This featured race was the first of Marking's
short CORR off road racing career and certainly not to
be the last as he sliced through the field of the nation's
top off road racers to finish in the fifth spot. Marking
commented, "There was alot happening in the truck
and around the truck. It was everything I could do to
stay out of the commotion on the track and get into a
good groove. We have a lot to learn, but we're coming
along strong."
Friday's qualifying was a struggle as the
brand new Greaves/Fab School built Pro-Lite truck was
completed in about 26 days only being finished on Wednesday
afternoon, two days before the race. The incredible story
of finishing the race truck prior to the race is a testament
to the support and dedication of the entire John Marking
Racing crew.
The combination of a newly fabricated truck
along with a rookie CORR driver behind the wheel, finishing
in the top five is perhaps the sign of the times at John
Marking Racing.
John thanks all his sponsors including Viejas
Casino, FOX Racing Shox, Mendeola Transaxles, and Goodyear
Tires.
