Lucas Oil Inks Multi-Year Sponsor Deal with Crandon International Raceway

CRANDON, WI (June 19, 2006) –

World Capital of Professional Off-Road Racing Where the World Champions Are Crowned!

Lucas Oil, long term sponsor of Championship Off-Road Racing in the U.S., has expanded its sponsorship with Crandon International Off-Road Raceway. Lucas Oil, based in Corona, CA, is one of the country's leading producers and marketers of racing oils and specialty lubricants.

As a priority sponsor, the Lucas Oil name and products will be associated with the most prestigious off-road race track in the country. In addition to off-road racing, Crandon Raceway expanded its schedule of action sports events this season. Lucas Oil has stepped in with a multi-year deal to officially sponsor these events as well.

The action sports include a Motocross weekend, a Biker Rally and Pro AM TT Motorcycle Race, an ATV race and adventure weekend, including an ATV charity ride. Lucas Oil will be the official ATV/motorcycle oil at the events.

We are excited about our expanded association with Crandon International Off-Road Raceway,” said Jamie Devney, motorsports marketing manager, Lucas Oil. “We have carefully watched the dynamic growth of off-road racing and other events at Crandon,” he said. “The track is the largest and most popular off-road racing facility in the country, drawing tens of thousands of fans,” noted Devney. “These fans own and enjoy trucks, they enjoy motorcycles, they love their ATV's. The Crandon track represents an ideal venue to help showcase our products to both the off-road enthusiast and racer,” he said. Devney noted the Lucas Oil participation at the Lucas Oil Lucas Cycles Motocross Championships, the Potawatomi "Gathering Thunder" Biker Rally featuring Lucas Oil Pro Am TT Motorcycle Races, and the Lucas Oil "Ultimate ATV Experience" at Crandon will help the company introduce its new line of motorcycle and ATV lubricants to the market.

Lucas Oil will be on-hand at the events with its portable oil change station. “We will be working hard to show spectators and participants at Crandon's action motor sports events that nothing beats Lucas Oil products,” he said. Lucas Oil already has a strong reputation in off-road racing as the CORR Series title sponsor and is the prime force behind its television coverage on SPEED Channel.

The oil company sponsors top off-road racers led by hard-charging "Crandon Carl" Renezeder. Renezeder, Newport Beach, CA, has earned his nickname for multiple wins at the Crandon track, including off-road racing's biggest events -- the BorgWarner Shootout (2004) and the Potawatomi Chairman's Cup (2003) races. Since the turn of the century, he has reeled off three consecutive World Championship titles in the Pro 4 high performance pickup truck class. He is the defending Crandon World Champion in the Pro 2 class and the reigning Pro 2 Lucas Oil CORR Series champion. Renezeder is one of the most popular drivers at Crandon.

"All eyes are on 'Crandon Carl' whenever he takes to the track," said Cliff Flannery, president, Crandon Raceway. "He is a threat to win each and every time he takes the green flag in his Lucas Oil race machines here. He's a gentleman and the kind of people we like to have at Crandon Raceway and he's a great spokesperson for Lucas Oil," said Flannery. Chad Hord, Felch, MI, defending 2005 Crandon Pro-Lite World Champion, is another top gun for Lucas Oil. "Crandon Carl" will have something else to race for this coming season at Crandon as his favorite turn on the track has been officially sponsored by Lucas Oil. Turn three at Crandon Raceway, affectionately known as the "Gravel Pit Turn" since rock seems to grow there, is now officially named the "Lucas Oil Gravel Pit Turn". Time after time, Renezeder has setup his Lucas Oil race trucks on the Crandon dirt to blow pass competitors in Turn 3. "There is only limited signage on-track at Crandon and we wanted to be part of the action and make a statement at the World Capital of Off-Road Racing," said Devney. "As this portion of the track is Carl's favorite, it was a natural fit for Lucas Oil," he commented.

Lucas Oil joins other big name sponsors on-track at Crandon including the Precision Gear starting line, Potawatomi turn one, BorgWarner turn two, Ford Trucks skybox straight-away, American Axle jump, Toyo Tire chicane and the Skyjacker Suspension finish line. "We are delighted to be in partnership with these other big name on-track sponsors at Crandon," said Devney. Devney said Lucas Oil had been considering stepping in with a larger, long-term sponsorship position at Crandon for some time. "It's the finest professional off-road racing facility in the country, period," he said. "It is professionally managed and each year the live spectator base gets larger and larger.

Many sponsors have been with Crandon Raceway for a decade or longer. It's obvious they are doing it right at Crandon and we trust raceway management to continue to get it right." The "Lucas Oil Gravel Pit Turn" will also be included as a key corner in the Motocross race circuit, the Pro AM TT track and the ATV races. “Customers trust Lucas Oil for the highest quality products with durability and performance,” said Cliff Flannery, president, Crandon Raceway. “Just ask 'Crandon Carl' Renezeder. Racing action at Crandon tests the limits of product durability and our high-speed track requires maximum performance,” he said. Lucas Oil has been extremely active the past six months.

In addition to the priority and action sports title sponsorships at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway, the company has introduced its Lucas Cycles business unit. Lucas Cycles designs and builds quality, high-performance motorcycles for both the leisure and racing communities. Developed by riders for riders, Lucas Cycles' objective is to create a custom production motorcycle that not only looks good, but rides well and is dependable.

This past March, the NFL's Indianapolis Colts announced the selection of Lucas Oil for naming rights on the new Colts stadium. Scheduled to open in downtown Indianapolis in 2008, the new facility will be known as Lucas Oil Stadium for 20 years.

In addition to Lucas Oil, other official and priority sponsors at Crandon in 2006 include the Forest County Potawatomi, BorgWarner, Miller Lite, Ford Trucks, American Axle, Toyo Tires, Skyjacker Suspensions, Johnsonville, Lucas Oil, Potawatomi Northern Lights Bingo - Casino, Indian Springs Lodge, Coca-Cola, and MasterCraft Race Products.
