Erik Apple Ready to Pump Up the Primm Crowd at LOORRS 1

Corona, CA (March 30, 2009) XGames Sportscaster Erik Apple has joined the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series team today as the man who will call the live action on the track. Apple, also a mixed martial arts fighter representing the Metal Mulisha, has been featured on Showtime's XCElite Challenge Series.

"This is awesome! Erik will bring a whole new level of excitement to the off road track announcer's booth. His experience with freestyle motocross at the XGames, MMA and the action sports lifestyle works hand in hand with the intense door to door action that we are presenting. We love his enthusiasm for the sport and with Cameron Steele and Ken Stout doing the TV broadcast, Erik is a perfect fit for our show," said LOORRS' Tony Vanillo.

Apple had this to say about being the man who will be pumping up the crowd and telling the story to fans live at the track; "This is a fantastic opportunity to become involved in short course off road racing and LOORRS. The racing is insane and I'm going to have a lot of fun getting into it. Of course I already know Brian (Deegan) , Cary Hart and some of the other names. Now, getting inside the sport, getting to know the drivers and calling the action on the track is going to be amazing. I've been doing my homework and I'll be ready for Primm."

As the first LOORRS race looms near, Erik, Tony, and the entire Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series staff are hard at work completing final preparations for the much anticipated return of short course off road racing to the Primm Valley Motorsports Complex in Primm, Nevada on April 4th and 5th. Sixty thousand dollars in prize money presented by K&N Filters each day for the Unlimited 2 and Unlimited 4 classes will guarantee that the action will be fierce.
