Bark River, Michigan - Inspiring. Dominating. Clever. Passionate. These are the words that define championship racing. Words that have meaning and purpose and describe what it takes to live, breathe, and WIN at off road racing.

One name, one team, one life!

2008: CORR Pro 2 Champions
2009: TORC Pro 2 Champions
2010: LUCAS Oil / TORC Pro 2 points leader

On another Sunday afternoon, Rob MacCachren led his ROCKSTAR Energy Racing Team to the podium once again after delicately piecing the puzzle together for victory in Sunday’s finale at the Bark River International Raceway. Combined with his Saturday afternoon second place finish, MacCachren leads the TORC Series championship points race.

Celebrating his 20th year with BFGoodrich Tires as his sponsor, Rob MacCachren churned up the Michigan dirt with his BFGoodrich Tires, enroute to a dominating triumph over the competition.

This win adds to a stellar career of victories for off road racing champion, Rob MacCachren, who with this accomplishment earned his 172 victory in the world of off road racing.

Thousands of fans braved the inclement weather conditions, which threatened to convert a near perfect off road race track into a mud bog in Michigan’s land of the lakes. However, the weather held off as the world-class Pro 2 trucks took to the track.

Driving his #21 Ford F150 backed by ROCKSTAR/BFGoodrich/Mastercraft Safety, MacCachren gingerly positioned himself for the first turn as the green flag dropped. With a few thousand fans standing on their feet cheering, MacCachren began his calculated approach.

“Racing against my good friend Scott Taylor is always fun. We’ve been racing against each other my entire career and we always race neck and neck. He’s a clean racer and tough to get around, but today we had the #21 firing on all cylinders and we really had a fast truck,” explained MacCachren as he was about to step up to the podium.

By the midway point of the race, the #21 Ford F150 was in the lead and as the flag dropped for the second half of the race, he never looked back. MacCachren streaked across the finish line to the roar of the fans. Standing on the top step of the podium, he accepted his first place trophy and personally thanked the fans of Michigan for their great support.

Afterwards he said, “Bark River fans have always been so nice to us. I’ve been racing here since the early 1990’s and it never ceases to amaze me. Today the track was perfect. BFGoodrich Tire engineers gave us an incredible tire to work with on this track and the ROCKSTAR Energy Racing crew gave me an awesome truck. From Patton Racing Engines to Rancho Drivetrain Engineering, Roy at Pro AM, Motive Gear and all the companies and people that are part of this winning team, it’s all about teamwork. My crew works nonstop at making this truck better each and everyday and this is all about our team winning and racing for the season championship.”

Racing in both of the premiere closed course racing series, TORC and Lucas Oil Off Road, MacCachren has earned the championship Pro 2 points lead in both series. Thusfar in 2010 season, when combining the two series, Rob MacCachren has won 5 of the 12 races, but an even more interesting statistic is he has finished on the podium 11 out of 12 races.

“It’s a long season and there is a lot of racing to go, but the goal for this ROCKSTAR Energy Racing Team is to win both championships in the same season.” MacCachren smiled then walked off to help his crew tear down the ROCKSTAR race hauler awning and head to the next race weekend, only 10 days away.
