Mohave Valley, Arizona – After a great start to the 2008 season, Racers Only is getting ready for the return of the legendary MINT 400 off road race. The MINT 400, known as “The great American desert race” is back after a 19 year hiatus. SNORE (Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiast) took on the monumental task of resurrecting one of off road racings most prized events. The Mint 400 annually attracted the most competitors, spectators and media, and with Technical inspection and Contingency row back on Fremont Street under “The Fremont Experience”, it’s sure to cause some ExcitMINT. The event kicks off on Thursday, March 27th with Tech and contingency, with race day on Saturday, March 29th. The race will consist of four 100 mile laps around a harsh Nevada desert course with an 18 hour time limit.
Racers Only Motorsports is prepping the “Trophy Truck Killer” for it’s return to the Nevada desert to try and extend it’s winning streak to 3 after a 1st place finish at both the Primm 300 and last months Laughlin Desert Challenge. The prep job will include a set of new King bi-pass shocks in the rear to replace the 17 year old Kuster shocks. The Kuster’s were working just fine but it was decided that it was time to start up grading some older equipment to stay at the top of the standings.
