Jesse Jones Goes For An Unplanned Swim on the Baja's Rugged Coast During The Race

Ensenada, Baja California (March 10, 2007) Racing the #76 Trophy Truck, Jesse Jones set out for a hardcharging run at the SCORE Baja 250. All systems were go as Jones ran fast as he chased down the first half leaders, Rob MacCachren, Alan Pflueger and Tim Herbst. However, that all changed as Jones hit the Pacific Coast of the Baja Peninsula, along the beach at Erindera.

Jesse turned his FABTECH sponsored trophy truck towards the north and ran fast along the steep cliffs that line the beautiful coastline of Baja's rugged primitive coast.

That all came to a screeching halt as Jones slid off of a reported 30 foot embankment leading to the rock-covered sandy beach where Jones exited his truck amid the crashing waves.

Standing atop his truck a few minutes later, Jones stood with his hands raised in the air to the amazement of the fans lining the race course.

The Geiser-built Hoffman Motorsports prepped race truck was doused in the heavy salt water of the Pacific Ocean and pulled from the rocks by a local Mexican resident using a backhoe.

Once his truck was loaded onto the Hoffman Motorsports flatbed trailer, Jones was whisked away to Ensenada and then flew from Ensenada International Airport in his newly purchased Lear Jet.
