Laughlin, Nevada (January 21, 2007) Two days of
work on the battle field of the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge
paid off for off road racing veteran, John Herder. Debuting his
brand new JIMCO 2-Seat Class 1 at what has been described as
a incredibly challenging Laughlin race course, Herder beat out
B.J. Richardson by a mere 20 seconds after two days of racing.
Wow, what a day. This new car worked incredible
and we have worked hard to really get it dialed in. FOX Shox
let me blast faster than ever and the car was phenomenal. And
I think we can even go faster," said a smiling John Herder from
the finish line.
The Class 1 race was a battle from the beginning
as racers took to a 6-mile track that had been abused by desert
racers all day long. That did not deter the best of the best
as they charged hard into some of the deepest holes seen in the
off road desert racing world.
Finishing second was Las Vegas Dissemination, B.J.
Richardson, who when the results were announced by SCORE Announcer
Charlie Englebert, shook his head once and congratulated Herder
and walked towards his race car.
BJ Baldwin WINS Laughlin Desert Challenge with
a Flawless Race!
Baldwin does it Back-to-Back after Winning
this race in 2006!
Laughlin, Nevada (January 21, 2007) Trudging through
the deep sand and the big holes, the elite SCORE Trophy Trucks
took to this course in search of the first victory in the desert
of the year, but an incredibly difficult race course left some
of the nation's top Trophy Truck racers with some serious carnage.
BJ Baldwin Winner
Interview
BJ Baldwin wasted no time in picking up where he
left off in 2006 as he captured victory here in Laughlin racing
against the nation's top drivers. Finishing physically in second
was, SCORE Rookie of the Year, Garron Cadiente and we'll have
full results shortly.
Carl Renezeder suffered mechanical issues at RM
5.5 in the first two laps and young gun, Andy McMillin, dropped
out of the race at RM 4.0 after 10 million dollars worth of trophy
trucks battled door-to-door here in the Laughlin Desert. McMillin
drove his truck around the track for 2 laps before he suffered
the stoppage due to a broken trailing arm.
B.J. Baldwin took the physical lead after the first
lap and was chased on the bumper by Garron Cadiente as the rest
of the field succumbed to attrition. Robby Gordon's #77 Monster
Energy sponsored truck suffered a flat tire at RM 3 and that
forced driver-Travis Coyne and co-driver Johnny Kaiser changing
a flat in this short race.
Mark Post driving the # 3 Riviera Racing Trophy
Truck roared for two laps before he was sidelined and then got
back up and running in the latter part of the race.
Ryan Arciero broke apart a corner of his wheel
in the infield before the Laughlin Leap and that put him out
of the race. The Flying Hawaiian - Alan Pflueger suffered a stop
in the middle of the track near the big screen with an unknown
issue, but got moving after about a 10 minute stop.
Driving the #54 Trophy Truck, Jesse James started
in the back of the field and was slowwwwwwwwwww and then rolled
hard at RM 2 before landing on his tires. James littered RM 2
with the custom Jesse James body and pulled off the race course.
James was all alone in the back of the field.
Pulling out of the race after a mere three laps
was Cameron Steele driving the Playtech Class 1 fitted with Cameron's
TT body after Steele suffered a blown truck motor during prerunning
on Friday.
Rod Hall Adds Hardware to his Trophy Cabinet
Laughlin, Nevada (January 21, 2007) Rod Hall captured

were all vying for the top spot in this highly competitive class.

his afternoon race in the Truggy, Larry Roeseler drove his Class
7 truck to a solid victory in only 46 minutes beating the competition.

Jernigan after Larry suffered a problem during Saturday's race.
Jernigan put together two solid days to claim the
overall victory in the deep sand and difficult course conditions
here in Laughlin, Nevada.
Chris Harrold Runs WIDE OPEN in Sunday Victory
at Laughlin
Laughlin, Nevada (January 21, 2007) Driving the
MENDEOLA/FOX Racing Shox sponsored new Class 10 single-seat
buggy, built by AlumiCraft, Chris Harrold ran wild here on Sunday
morning capturing victory. The car was finished just days prior
to this race and then halfway through Saturday's racing, they
suffered a mechanical failure. Working late into the evening
to fix their problems, the desert veteran, Chris Harrold ran
a clean race in route to victory.

Laughlin, Nevada (January 21, 2007) The renegade,
Cam Steele, literally drove the wheels off of PINKIE in attempt
to beat the cool, calm collective Stan Potter here at Laughlin.
Well, no dice for the Kingpin of the Desert Assassin's as Potter
displayed his winning talent on the sands of the Colorado River.
With a two-day combined total of 1:45:02, Potter
beat the DA Boss by one minute and twenty-four seconds averaging
41.130 mph to Steele's 40.589. The dejected DA told us he was
bummed, but he had to focus on the upcoming truck race.

SEELEY BIG WINNER for 2-Day
Combined Event

railed her #503 to victory here at this 6-mile SCORE Laughlin
battlefield. Starting off the line against Saturday's leader,
Chris Bowman/Joey Westhoff, Bruckmann took advantage of an early
morning motor problem that plagued Chris Bowman before the first
lap was over. Bruckmann worked her SCORE Championship magic
and rallied her race car to victory on the sands of the Colorado
River.
Bruckmann's win was not enough to take the overall
away from George Seeley who had a two-day total time of 1:33:58
to take the important overall victory here at Laughlin. Finishing
in second was Chris Bowman/Joey Westhoff who were a mere 60 seconds
behind Seeley after two full days of racing.

of the season they have scored the lead heading into Sunday's

Andy McMillin and Alan Pflueger gave the fans of
Laughlin a spectacular race as the two energy drink sponsored
racers were raced as hard as it gets around this course and were
bumper to bumper and door to door back and forth many times.
At the finish line Plueger said, "Andy blew by
us out there and the next thing I knew is we had a serious race
on our hands. Andy was fast, but we caught him and he moved over.
I've got to tell you that I have an incredible amount of respect
for him, he raced clean and we both had a blast out there.
Andy McMillin told us, "That was absolutely the
best race I've had with someone in a very long time. Pflueger
