May 28, 2008 –Arriving to Northern Baja in anticipation of victory at the 40th anniversary of the SCORE Tecate Baja 500, Mark Post said, "It's SHOWTIME boys - Riviera Racing style!"

Riviera Racing's Monarch Grand Vacations/Rockstar Energy Drink/Makita Industrial Power Tools sponsored team is well prepared for the 40th anniversary of the SCORE Baja 500 as the dynamic team has come to win in Baja.

Mark Post, the reigning SCORE Trophy Truck Champion, arrived to the quiet seaside town in San Felipe, Baja California preparing the what is expected to be a very fast race course. The 440-mile challenge will test the performance of man and machine, something that Riviera Racing has conquered over the past five years.

Last season the #1 SCORE Trophy Truck won three of the six races in the series including the 40th anniversary of the SCORE Tecate Baja 1000, which by winning, clinched the season championship for Riviera Racing.

"Racing in Baja is very special to me and being here in Ensenada racing against many of my friends and fellow racers in the 40th SCORE Baja 500 is exciting. We have prepared our entire program in anticipation of a flawless race.'

"We had an excellent prep after the San Felipe 250, where we finished second to Brian Collins. About three weeks ago we tested the truck with the media and sponsors in the Barstow desert and we had a great session with the Trophy Truck. I took Mike Kelso, Rockstar's Motorsports Manager, for a wild ride that he won't soon forget. The truck performed excellent and our chances heading into this week's Baja 500 are very good. We want this 40th Baja 500 victory to match up with our 40th Baja 1000 win last season. We've pulled out all the stops and I'm feeling good headed into Saturday's race," said a smiling Post.

Riviera Racing has been probing this year's SCORE Baja 500 race course since the opening weekend. A week ago, SCORE Baja 1000 Champion, Rob MacCachren, arrived to do his homework and he's been hard at it prerunning loop after loop of different sections throughout the race course.

MacCachren commented, "Baja prerunning is always fun, but it comes with a tremendous amount of work by both the drivers and the team supporting the prerun vehicles. This year's race course has a couple quirky sections, but all-in-all it will be very fast. The prerun crew spent an afternoon on the glassy river water wake boarding about an hour outside of San Felipe and then we got back to work in the dirt. We have had a couple late night prerun sessions so the ROCKSTAR Energy Drink has led the way powering us through the night. We changed a CV boot on the prerun buggy one day and had the chance to use our new Makita Tools, but other than that we've just been burning gas without any problems for days on end.'

"We're in a good position starting in the third spot behind Cameron Steele and Robbie Pierce. There's room for passing in the first 120 miles so we're hoping to get out in front and run in some clean air. It's going to be a great race and I'm ready for Saturday morning."

The people of the Baja Peninsula have embraced the entire Riviera Racing team for this year's grand 40th anniversary of the SCORE Baja 500. Riviera Racing team members have passed out about 5,000 Rockstar/Makita/Riviera Racing hero cards, stickers, posters and both Mark Post and Rob MacCachren have signed hundreds of autographs representing a host of supporters for the #1 SCORE Trophy Truck.
