LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (October 22, 2009) -- Bryce Menzies, the Las Vegas off road racing phenom, continued to showcase his impressive racing talents in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series earning two victories in rounds 9-10 held at Speedworld Raceway in Surprise, Arizona.

The 22-year old racer took to the track in his #7 SUPER CLEAN sponsored Unlimited Pro 2 race truck and battled door to door with the defending champion, Carl Renezeder. However, in the end it was the Las Vegas based young gun that out dueled all of the competition earning the weekend sweep.

Menzies Motorsports’ “Big Red Machine” rolled out the red carpet for sponsors and fans alike at the fan favorite Speedworld Raceway in Arizona. Hot temperatures did not stop some 15,000 fans from packing the grandstands for the Unlimited Pro 2 main event over the two-day race weekend. Menzies Motorsports team owner, Steve Menzies, hosted a plethora of VIP’s beneath the Menzies Motorsports hospitality tents and reached out to a couple thousand fans that came to see what the Big Red Machine is all about.

Steve commented, “What a great weekend of racing. Bryce and the team performed better than ever. Anytime you can double up victories at this stage of the season it’s a good thing. Once again the entire team came together and gave Bryce a perfect race truck and he went out and drove it to the checkers, twice! I couldn’t be any happier with the performance of Menzies Motorsports.”

Bryce qualified his No. 7 Super Clean FORD F150 race truck in the top five for Saturday’s Round 9, however he trailed Rodrigo Ampudia who was the fastest qualifier.

“Qualifying is so important and although we were not the fastest, we did have a great running truck. Once we got on the racetrack and began racing, the SUPER CLEAN truck proved it was super fast. Kevin Kroyer has been working diligently to give us the best package he could and it’s paying off. Running out in front was awesome and the truck held up real good. A couple times I could see Carl Renezeder making a run on the inside, but the Super Clean Ford F150 was able to hold him off each time. I’m really stoked with the double victories,” said a smiling Bryce Menzies.

The two Big Red Machine Unlimited Buggies squared off with a full field of the nation’s top racers and in the end it was a struggle for both racers.

Larry Job, another veteran Southern Nevada off road racer in his second full short-course season, drove hard and fast all weekend long and claimed the final spot on the podium in Round 9, Saturday’s race. However, on Sunday he was struck by on-track gremlins, which relinquished him to the four position overall in the championship points race. “We had a good run on Saturday and although we had a brake issue on Sunday, I’ll be charging hard for the championship in the final race weekend of the season,” said Job.

Cameron Steele, the animated action-sports television announcer, drove from the back of the pack each day pushing up to the top five position. In Round 9, Saturday’s race the buggy racer ended up in 5th position overall. Sunday was another story as he suffered a bent engine plate in practice that forced him to start from the rear of the field. After weaving his Cameron Steele magic over the field and making his way to the second spot he was victimized and crashed into by several different racers that forced him from the battling for the lead where he ended in 4th overall. Cameron explained, “I’m okay with a few hits here and there, but when I become a regular target in every race and it’s the same guys banging on my car, it gets to be a bit annoying. The car was good all weekend long and we made some fast runs to the front, but we just couldn’t keep the momentum going. We’ll be back with a vengeance in Primm.”

The weekend was not without the fun-filled antics of the friends, family and sponsors that surround the Big Red Machine. Saturday saw the Bryce Menzies color cardboard cutout make the rounds to various locations on the track where what seemed to be everyone in the pits had the chance to meet and greet Saturday’s Unlimited Pro 2 winner, Bryce Menzies. Steve commented while grinning, “It seems Bryce had quite the night on Saturday after his big win.”

“Seriously though, without all of our sponsors working so closely with us at each race, winning at this level might not happen. BFGoodrich Tires provides us with a tire engineer helping our crew chief select the proper compound and tire grooving for the track were racing at. FOX Racing Shox works closely with us in suspension adjustments and Kroyer Racing Engines tunes our trucks and buggies for the best performance while at the track. The Menzies Motorsports crew cleans everything in the fleet with SUPER CLEAN cleaning product. This just the beginning of the list, but we couldn’t do it without everyone involved. A victory for us is a victory for every single company involved in our program.”

Menzies Motorsports cadre of race team support includes AHERN Rentals, BFGoodrich Tires, FOX Racing Shox, KMC Wheels, KARTEK and Super Clean.

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series boasts a very strong TV package with SPEED featuring many hours of original programming during the last quarter of 2009. The final race of the year at Primm Motorsports Complex will be televised live on NBC Sports.
