Suprise, AZ (October 17, 2009) –Bryce Menzies took the lead early on after the full red flag restart and never skipped a beat. Menzies held off points leader, Carl Renezeder, the entire race with only a few truck lengths separating them. Renezeder finished in second with Wardy rounding out the podium.

Carl Renezeder took the victory in his Unlimited 4 over Alan Pflueger and Bryce Menzies who took third.

In the Unlimited Lite class, Matt Loiodice jumped out in front at the drop of the green flag and held on until just before the mandatory caution when Robert Naughton slammed into the side of him, ultimately getting black flagged, which took Loiodice and himself out of the hunt for the win. Deegan and teammate Cuffaro pushed to the front for the top two spots as Stephensen took third.

Menzies takes the win, Renezeder in second. Wardy takes third and Whelchel in 4th.

Officials are still cleaning up debris and trucks from the course

Carey Hart is also out of the race as he gets taken off the course by officials.

Dale Dondel endo'd hard off the start causing a full course caution and red flag restart. This will take him out of the race as well as Robby Woods who was behind him and broke the right front end.

Just announced, Chris Brandt will take over the driving duties in the #82 Unlimited 2 of Josh Merril. Merril took a hard crash in one of the practice sessions yesterday forcing him to take a back seat in today's race and watch from the stands.

CENNI, who will start in the second row, is taking a go at the LOORS series after some controversy at the last TORC series round. Cenni told DIRTnewz staff that he filed a complaint to the TORC officials against Curt LeDuc's rough driving and nothing was done about it so he took matters into his own hands and tried to slam into LeDuc and take him out of the race. TORC officials are still undecided as to wether or not they will allow him to race in the season finale next weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Unlimited 4's have taken to the track and are waiting for the drop of the green flag

Unlimted 4 starting order: COYNE, TIM HERBST, PFLUEGER, CENNI, RENEZEDER, TROY HERBST, BRASCHO, MENZIES, MERRIL, DAUGHERTY

Carl Renezeder had the fastest practice time this morning in the both Unlimited 2 & Unlimited 4 class while Brian Deegan had the fastest time in the Unlimited Lite class

Rodrigo Ampudia, will start today's round 9 with a brand new RDE Transmission in the truck. Ampudia qualified 2nd yesterday and will start in the 4th row after a top 8 inversion

Jerry Whelchel wasn't able to qualify yesterday due to a blown head gasket and will start in the back of the pack. The crew changed a motor last night and Whelchel had the second quickest practice time here this morning.

Stay tuned as the Unlimited 4's will take to the track in a few hours to kick off today's LOORS Short Course racing. Unlimited Lights will follow and Unlimited 2's will round out the field.

The first practice session of the day is underway as drivers and their crew worked last night to make even the slightest changes to their race trucks in order to bring home a win from Suprise here this afternoon.

Robbie Pierce will start front row in tomorrow's race next to Kevin Probst who qualified in the 7th position. Top qualifier in the Unlimited 2 class today was Greg Adler with a time of 56.070. Adriann Cenni had the fastest practice time in the Unlimited 4 class with Troy Herbst in second, Tim Herbst in third, followed by Travis Coyne and Bryce Menzies. Teams have 1 hour until they will take to the track for qualifying.

Turn #4 is proving to be difficult for these drivers as more and more practice laps are leading to continuous rollovers. During the second practice session both Jesse Jones and Aaron Daugherty went end over end in turn #4. Jones landed and was able to complete his practice session as Daugherty wasn't so lucky and came out of it with a broken front end. Practice has been delayed as track officials work to get Daugherty's #23 Unlimited 4 off the track.

Josh Merril in the #22 Unlimited 2 took a hard roll during the first practice session as did the #12 Unlimited Light of Parker Grabowski.
