Bark River, Michigan—Just nine starts into the 2009 TORC Series presented by AMSOIL season, Scott Douglas already had five top-3 podium finishes. The latest came at Bark River International Raceway in round 9 of TORC PRO 4X4 racing. Douglas had to work his way through traffic to get to the front.
Eagle River, WI (August 13, 2009) - Ever wonder what it would be like to have a truck race inside a pin ball machine? Well after the second TORC visit to Bark River, Mike Oberg has a pretty good idea what that race would feel like. Except in the PRO-2WD pinball race, only a few can get an open path to the finish while the majority of the race trucks spend the twelve minutes of racing continually bouncing off each other never really making any headway to the finish.
Holland, MI – As TORC PRO competitors begin the second half of the season, Ross Hoek is showing signs of the success his team had during the same time frame in 2008. Unfortunately missing Perris and having to start in the back half of the field all season has made it all but impossible to gain enough points to reach the inversion and make a serious challenge for a podium finish. Nonetheless, Ross Hoek and his #21 Venom Energy, Royal Purple, Kumho Tire, Ford F-150 have made large moves through the competition to begin competing with the front of the field.
