Corona, Ca. (May 26, 2010) - The first family of short course racing secured yet another podium finish for the Rockstar Energy Drink / Makita Tools Team LeDuc Racing at the latest Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORS). After qualifying fourth for Round 5 of LOORS Pro 2 Unlimited racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Todd LeDuc started on the front row next to Ricky Johnson. It wasn’t long before LeDuc had his No. 8 Ford F-150 at the front of the pack. When the dust cleared, Todd had finished third, narrowly edged out at the finish line by Rodrigo Ampudia in what was arguably the most dramatic moment of the weekend. LeDuc and Ampudia crossed the finish line in mid-air, with Todd getting edged out by 54 thousandths of a second. “The transmission was completely shot by the end of race, I was lucky to even finish,” the always humble Todd commented after the race. “Most of all I was excited to get a podium finish for my new sponsor Jägermeister.”

With this partnership, we are able to work together to build a unique, new, short course off road race track on the Glen Helen site that will have all of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing signature features that keep fans on their feet race after race. Have you heard the saying: "If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck at all?" Well, Johnny is beginning to believe it. The Monster Energy Toyota team of Johnny Greaves has had its share of bad luck already this year, but they do not give up! At a couple days notice, they set out again to the LOORS race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, hoping to bring home some podium finishes before the TORC season gets underway in just a short few weeks.
Friday's qualifying put Johnny and Rick Huseman on the pole. It was looking like it was going to be a 1-2 Monster Toyota blow out, Rick getting out front on the start with Johnny on his rear bumper. This tight battle remained for 4-5 laps. Johnny was working every line trying to make the pass, however, coming into turn 2 he tried an aggressive move and bicycled on two-wheels into the K-rail. His BFGoodrich tires kept him in tact and he was able to get back on the track only losing two positions. The K-rail however cut a brake line, and Johnny was left to race with no brakes. Remarkably, he retains his position for the rest of the race, giving him a 4th place, just short of the podium.
LAKE FOREST, CA (May 24, 2010) – It was a weekend of contrasts for Team Renezeder at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for rounds five and six of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series this past weekend, May 21-23. From the weather, to the work, to the results, nothing was predictable or simple. Luckily for driver, Carl Renezeder, and his crew, there were great results to balance out the not-so-great moments of the weekend, and he ultimately added win number 89 to his record book, and did it in the debut race of the team’s brand new Pro-4.
LAS VEGAS— The Menzies Motorsports “Big Red Machine” entertained loyal fans all weekend long beneath the awnings of the team’s beautiful Featherlite race haulers. But when it was time to race, the star of the team, Bryce Menzies, transcended into the fierce off road racer he’s well regarded for.
Bryce energized the crowd with his dazzling performance, racing door-to-door with old teammate, Rob MacCachren. The two trucks rotated through the corners in unison, reminiscent of the 2008 off road racing season. Both trucks are identical and were designed and built by Dave Clark. After 13 laps of intense off road racing, Bryce earned a solid second place position for his #7 Blanco Basura/Bully Dog/Super Clean backed Unlimited Pro-2 in Sunday’s Round 6 of the Lucas Oil Series.
The 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Series came into the Las Vegas Motor Speedway under clear blue skies, but by Sunday’s race action, the temperatures dropped drastically and the Las Vegas metropolitan area was besieged with wind, rain and cold.
When the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, (LOORS) arrived at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Round Six of their 2010 racing season they apparently brought the wind with them. It was very odd meteorology for late May in Las Vegas that saw heavy clouds, strong wind gusts and even light rain last Sunday. But even the cold wind could not deter the red hot racing, and the fan excitement, on this day.
You can bet the farm that Las Vegas native Rob MacCachren didn't mind the weather or anything else for that matter. MacCachren won the LOORRS Pro 2 Unlimited feature on Saturday and then hit the Las Vegas daily double 24 hours later by winning Sunday's race as well. With his primary sponsor's logo, Rockstar Energy Drink, prominently displayed on the side of his Ford it's likely that MacCachren felt like partying like a rockstar following his dominant performance especially in last Sunday's race. All of this effort was accomplished despite a painful back injury, sustained during Saturday's qualifying session that required pit road massages and the use of a kidney belt.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada –Mother Nature clashed down on the Southern Nevada desert Sunday as cool temperatures, high wind gusts and threatening rain forced racers to consider changing up setups at the last minute for Round 6 of the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. An unseasonably weather front locked in on the Las Vegas Metropolitan area and threatened to change the track from blue groove to a mud pit, but just as fast as the rain began to fall it stopped.
Rockstar Energy Racing’s Rob MacCachren took to the track during the Sunday morning qualifying session and qualified in the second position behind 4 Wheel Parts sponsored - Greg Adler. The #21
Rockstar/BFGoodrich/Mastercraft Pro 2 churned up the dirt in the corners of the 1.1-mile undulating racecourse and MacCachren and his Rockstar Energy backed crew did not have to make a single adjustment from Saturday’s round 5 where he was victorious.
The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, (LOORRS), staged round five of their stellar stadium off road racing season last Saturday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway complex. There were some unseasonably strong winds in the air for the Las Vegas area but it didn't deter the fans from packing the grandstands to watch some very exciting dirt racing action from LOORRS' nine racing divisions. This is especially true of the high powered Unlimited Four and Two truck divisions which often had the crowd on their feet during their respective main events.
In the Pro Four Unlimited class, full sized four wheel drive trucks with power plants ranging in the 700 to 900 horsepower category, multi time series champion Carl Renezeder returned to the top of the podium under rather surprising circumstances. Anyone who faithfully attends all of the LOORRS events will tell you that the 45 year old Montebello-Californina native is one of the hottest drivers in the series. But on Saturday afternoon Renezeder was literally too hot and almost didn't make this race.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Hard work pays off and that was the phrase of the day under the awning the Rockstar Energy Racing #21 race hauler of Rob MacCachren. The Las Vegas, Nevada based off road racer dominated the dirt of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway entertaining thousands of spectators who came out to the Speedway for Round 5 of the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Series.
Rob MacCachren, a hometown favorite, earned the top qualifier position on Friday afternoon after a month of non-stop work on the #21 Ford Pro 2. As the race truck was unloaded from the Rockstar race hauler the truck had the right set up and was very fast in the first practice on Friday morning. That fast practice turned into a great qualifying run that put MacCachren in the top spot.
After the Lucas Oil inversion, MacCachren started in the second row. As the green flag dropped, MacCachren charged through leaders in the front row and as the dust settled through the first two turns, Rob found himself and Rockstar Energy Drink teammate, Todd LeDuc, side by side fighting for the top spot. The two Rockstar athletes ran fast together and both pulled away from the field. At the halfway point, Lucas Oil Officials waved the green flag and the two Rockstar athletes sped away from the pack. Using his incredible driving ability, Rob MacCachren passed LeDuc cleanly on the outside and never looked back.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Racing at his home track in Las Vegas, Nevada, Rockstar Energy Racing’s Rob MacCachren turned up the wick in the #21 Rockstar/BFGoodrich/MasterCraft Pro 2 this afternoon and set the fastest lap at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during qualifying for Round 5.
The 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series marks Rounds 5 and 6 of the season. The weather has warmed up in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area this Friday afternoon and adding the fray were 50mph wind gusts that blew through Southern Nevada.
MacCachren leads the Lucas Oil Off Road Series Pro 2 Championship point’s race thus far this season as he and his committed crew aim for the season championship.

Rick Huseman has held a tight reign on the Pro 4 Unlimited class, taking the top spot in three of the first four rounds. Huseman's dominance in Pro 4 has put him atop the standings in a season that has seen some of the largest fields ever assembled in the class. Defending champion Carl Renezeder, whose consistency has planted him firmly in the second spot, will be coming to Sin City looking to reestablish himself as the class favorite. LAKE FOREST, CA (May 17, 2010) – After a successful weekend of racing for Carl Renezeder at the last Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event in Surprise, Arizona, Renezeder and the crew will head back to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for the second of three visits this season. The team added four new pieces of hardware to the trophy case by putting their championship-winning Pro-2 and Pro-4 on the podium in rounds three and four, with hopes of doing the same thing in Vegas. However, a brand new Pro-4 will roll out of the trailer for Renezeder this weekend, and Mike Johnson will make the switch from the veteran Chevy to the more recent championship-winning Ford.
Armed with durable BFGoodrich tires, a powerful Kroyer motor and a fearless attitude, Matt Loiodice anxiously awaits putting his #20 MasterCraft Safety Pro Lite Unlimited door-to-door with his biggest competitors at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.
In front of Round 3's sold out crowd, Loiodice proved his talent behind the wheel as he stood on the podium in 3rd place after recovering from a roll-over inflicted by a fellow driver on the opening lap of that race. The next day in Round 4, Loiodice in his Competitive Metals truck held the lead for a majority of the race before a few tangles shuffled him back to a 5th place finish. Disappointed with how his day ended, Loiodice began to immediately look ahead to the next race: Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

McGrath spoke on the deal that came together just days before the event. “I’m having an incredible experience competing in Pro 2 with the Greaves Racing Team. Having the opportunity to race alongside Johnny Greaves, one of the greatest short course drivers of all time, allows me to learn from the best as we continue to develop the Pro 2 program. Now, I’m excited to have a shot at Pro 4 with Scott Bailey and the StrongHold team. I’ve had a chance to practice in Johnny’s truck and I thought I was pretty fast. Now it’s time to put that experience to the test and see how I match up against the best in Pro 4. I’m grateful to Scott Bailey, Johnny, my sponsors, and everyone involved that helped make this happen.”
