LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Racing at his home track in Las Vegas, Nevada, Rockstar Energy Racing’s Rob MacCachren turned up the wick in the #21 Rockstar/BFGoodrich/MasterCraft Pro 2 this afternoon and set the fastest lap at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during qualifying for Round 5.

The 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series marks Rounds 5 and 6 of the season. The weather has warmed up in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area this Friday afternoon and adding the fray were 50mph wind gusts that blew through Southern Nevada.

MacCachren leads the Lucas Oil Off Road Series Pro 2 Championship point’s race thus far this season as he and his committed crew aim for the season championship.

Corona, Ca. (May 21, 2010) - As the championship landscape starts to take shape, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is making their second visit of the season to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, Saturday and Sunday May 22nd and 23rd.

With four rounds of racing completed, the stage is set for Rounds 5&6 at the mile long, purpose built, off road thrill ride in Las Vegas. While the start of the season has provided spectacular action and a few surprises, the stars of short course off road racing are arriving in Las Vegas with their focus on moving up through the standings early in this 2010 season.

Rick Huseman has held a tight reign on the Pro 4 Unlimited class, taking the top spot in three of the first four rounds. Huseman's dominance in Pro 4 has put him atop the standings in a season that has seen some of the largest fields ever assembled in the class. Defending champion Carl Renezeder, whose consistency has planted him firmly in the second spot, will be coming to Sin City looking to reestablish himself as the class favorite. Sitting in third is Adrian "Wildman" Cenni, joining a packed field of thundering Pro 4 trucks set to thrill the Las Vegas crowd. Among them is seven time Supercross champion, Jeremy McGrath. McGrath, an experienced Pro 2 veteran making the transition from two wheel drive to four, is testing his skills behind the wheel of the brand new Stronghold Motorsports Pro 4 Unlimited in racing action for the first time ever..

Forgiven Energy Steps Up to Help Team for Vegas Race Weekend

May 19, 2010 (San Bernardino, CA)—SoCal SuperTrucks and Ricky James have their sights set on putting themselves back into Championship contention this weekend, May 22nd and 23rd , during rounds 5 and 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Coming into the 2010 season, James and the SoCal SuperTrucks SuperLite have been viewed as the “team to beat” by both competitors and race fans alike. Although Ricky has consistently posted the fastest lap times at each round and earned a 2nd place finish at Round 3 in AZ, the team has been plagued with misfortune resulting in multiple DNF’s due to mechanical issues and a crash that resulted in a hospital visit for Ricky. The SoCal SuperTrucks SuperLite currently sits 6th in points and the entire crews knows how important this weekend will be to have a shot at the Overall 2010 Championship.

AMERICAN FALLS, ID The next couple of weeks are going to be busy for the entire off road community. The third round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series (LOORRS) is quickly approaching this weekend followed immediately by the SCORE Baja 500. The Menzies Motorsport team is in high gear preparing to compete in both events.

At this week’s LOORRS race in Vegas the team will be campaigning a complete arsenal of vehicles including a Pro2 truck driven by Bryce Menzies, Unlimited Buggy’s piloted by Larry Job and Cameron Steele. Rounding out the team’s efforts in Vegas will be Justin “Bean” Smith and Toby Bost racing in the Limited Buggy class. Coming into the three race weekend of 2010, the team as a whole is performing at the top of their game. Bean leads the Limited Buggy points, Larry Job and Cameron Steele are in second and third place in the Unlimited Buggy class, while Bryce is tied for 4th place in the Pro2 class. Hard work and persistence have got Menzies to the top; they are burning the midnight oil leading up to the race in hopes of staying at the top.

LAKE FOREST, CA (May 17, 2010) – After a successful weekend of racing for Carl Renezeder at the last Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event in Surprise, Arizona, Renezeder and the crew will head back to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for the second of three visits this season. The team added four new pieces of hardware to the trophy case by putting their championship-winning Pro-2 and Pro-4 on the podium in rounds three and four, with hopes of doing the same thing in Vegas. However, a brand new Pro-4 will roll out of the trailer for Renezeder this weekend, and Mike Johnson will make the switch from the veteran Chevy to the more recent championship-winning Ford.

Armed with durable BFGoodrich tires, a powerful Kroyer motor and a fearless attitude, Matt Loiodice anxiously awaits putting his #20 MasterCraft Safety Pro Lite Unlimited door-to-door with his biggest competitors at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.

In front of Round 3's sold out crowd, Loiodice proved his talent behind the wheel as he stood on the podium in 3rd place after recovering from a roll-over inflicted by a fellow driver on the opening lap of that race.  The next day in Round 4, Loiodice in his Competitive Metals truck held the lead for a majority of the race before a few tangles shuffled him back to a 5th place finish. Disappointed with how his day ended, Loiodice began to immediately look ahead to the next race: Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Corona, Ca. (May 13, 2010) – Seven-time Supercross Champion, Jeremy McGrath, will make his Pro 4 Unlimited (4 Wheel Drive/850+HP) debut when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series makes its second visit of the 2010 season to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on May 22nd and 23rd. McGrath, who has seen multiple podiums in his three years of full time short course off road racing competition in the Pro 2 Unlimited (2WD/850+HP) class, will be behind the wheel of the recently acquired StrongHold Motorsports machine in search of the first win of his short course off road racing career.

McGrath spoke on the deal that came together just days before the event. “I’m having an incredible experience competing in Pro 2 with the Greaves Racing Team. Having the opportunity to race alongside Johnny Greaves, one of the greatest short course drivers of all time, allows me to learn from the best as we continue to develop the Pro 2 program. Now, I’m excited to have a shot at Pro 4 with Scott Bailey and the StrongHold team. I’ve had a chance to practice in Johnny’s truck and I thought I was pretty fast. Now it’s time to put that experience to the test and see how I match up against the best in Pro 4. I’m grateful to Scott Bailey, Johnny, my sponsors, and everyone involved that helped make this happen.”

Corona, California (May 5, 2010) - This Saturday, May 8th, the door to door, fender mashing action of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is making its CBS debut at 5pm Eastern Time (2pm Pacific). This premier national short course off road racing organization features eight hundred horse powered, purpose built trucks racing door to door on motocross style tracks.
