LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Hard work pays off and that was the phrase of the day under the awning the Rockstar Energy Racing #21 race hauler of Rob MacCachren. The Las Vegas, Nevada based off road racer dominated the dirt of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway entertaining thousands of spectators who came out to the Speedway for Round 5 of the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Series.
Rob MacCachren, a hometown favorite, earned the top qualifier position on Friday afternoon after a month of non-stop work on the #21 Ford Pro 2. As the race truck was unloaded from the Rockstar race hauler the truck had the right set up and was very fast in the first practice on Friday morning. That fast practice turned into a great qualifying run that put MacCachren in the top spot.
After the Lucas Oil inversion, MacCachren started in the second row. As the green flag dropped, MacCachren charged through leaders in the front row and as the dust settled through the first two turns, Rob found himself and Rockstar Energy Drink teammate, Todd LeDuc, side by side fighting for the top spot. The two Rockstar athletes ran fast together and both pulled away from the field. At the halfway point, Lucas Oil Officials waved the green flag and the two Rockstar athletes sped away from the pack. Using his incredible driving ability, Rob MacCachren passed LeDuc cleanly on the outside and never looked back.

The #21 Rockstar/BFGoodrich/Mastercraft Pro 2 opened up a large gap between him and the pack of chasing Pro 2’s. MacCachren took the checkered flag as the fireworks at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway blasted skyward.
Among the many cheering fans MacCachren smiled and said, “We had a very good race and the hard work has paid off. We’ve made some slight changes and continue working on making this truck better and better between each race weekend. The Rockstar Energy Racing team consists of the best of the best people in off road motorsports and they want to win as much as I do. We really had a great truck today and I can’t say enough about our BFGoodrich Tires. The BFGoodrich Tires were really hooking up and giving us maximum traction the entire race.”

Victory in the 2010 Lucas Oil Series Round 5 increases MacCachren’s points lead in the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Series race for the championship.
Rockstar Energy Racing invites friends and fans of Rob MacCachren and Rockstar Energy Drink to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Sunday’s Round 6 of the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Series all weekend long.
