MIKE BERARD JOINS BECCA WEBSTER FOR W.E.ROCK SERIES
Pro Spotter Will Lead Red Bull's Rock-Diva in their Quest for Victory in 2008
San Diego, CA (March 26, 2008) - After a 1.5 year hiatus from rockcrawling, Pro Spotter, Mike Berard will "take the lead," spotting Becca Webster in the W.E.ROCK Western Pro National series. Red Bull Pro Rockcrawler, Becca Webster, found herself without a spotter for the 08 season after husband and teammate, Dustin Webster, left spotting to become Executive Director for W.E.ROCK. A select group of talented spotters interviewed for the position and after a long deliberation, Mike Berard was chosen to lead Becca in her Pro Modified RockCrawler, the RockHer II.
Mike began his competition rockcrawling career in 2002. Since then, he has spotted for 9 different teams and driven in 2 major events. His most notable season was the 2005 sweep of the UROC Western Series, spotting Cody Waggoner to 7 straight victories. Over the years, Mike became known for strategy and tactics that gives his team the advantage. He took the 2007 season off to be with his wife, Amy, and daughter, Makenzie, as they awaited the birth of their newest family member, Carson Micheal Berard.
"Mike's dedication and professionalism were the two points that held him above the others when I interviewed the many applicants," says Becca Webster. "With Mike leading the way, I am confident that 2008 will be my best season yet." Becca is looking forward to this season as she now has a full year of critical seat-time in the Blue Torch Fabworks built RockHer II.
Mike, who hails from Oakley, CA, is excited about working once again with Becca. Mike states, "Spotting for Becca in 2004, there was a synergy that just worked. I was proud to get the call from Becca this season and know that even with the growing number of top teams in the Pro Modified class, we stand a good chance of top finishes." Mike will join Becca for all W.E.ROCK West events that are scheduled to take place in Perris, CA, Cedar City, UT, Ellensburg, WA, and Donner Ski Ranch, CA. The team's main partners are Red Bull Energy Drink, Pro Comp Tires, Blue Torch Fabworks, CTM, and RP Films, producers of the Haulin or Crawlin DVD series.
