Firebird International Raceway
lights up as BFGoodrich Tires Reign as Tire War Champ!
Phoenix, Arizona December 3,
2006 – On November 17, 2006 at 1:30 a.m.,
Tracy Jordan laid unconscious while strapped in a
Wide Open Baja desert race car in his quest to conquer
the SCORE Baja 1000.
Knocked out by the harsh terrain after
dropping off and rolling multiple times down a 300
foot cliff, the 2005 Supercrawl Champion was closer
to death than he ever has been in his life. His SCORE
Baja 1000 teammate, Freestyle Motocross Superstar
Kenny Bartram, called out to Tracy several times without
a response. Finally, Jordan responded saying he couldn't
move his legs.
Jordan, obviously knocked for a big
loop during the crash, came to and asked Bartram to
help him from the crashed vehicle as race fuel poured
down onto him. Although his reflexes were slow, Jordan
bounced back within a few minutes and with the assistance
of Bartram, able to climb back to the top of the cliff
they had just lauched from.
Fastforward to Supercrawl V, December
3rd, 2006.
On the faux rock pile of Firebird International
Raceway was the sight of Supercrawl V. Promoted by
UROC as the largest single rockcrawling event of the
year, Supercrawl is the UROC version of World Championships.
Many of the nation's top professional
rockcrawlers arrived here to Firebird International
Raceway in search of the winning the coveted title
of Supercrawl Champion.
With defending champion, Tracy Jordan,
fresh off a wild adventure south of the border at
the SCORE Baja 1000, the door was slightly open for
any of the top drivers to claim victory. Although,
by the end of the event the man they call the Steel
Horse Cowboy survived multiple attacks from the nation's
top teams on the Supercrawl rockpile.
As if the videotape was rewound from
the 2005 UROC Supercrawl, Tracy Jordan and young gun,
Jason Scherer were the top two drivers heading into
the main event. In 2005, Scherer came up just short
as he battled on course without an important air-locker.
However, this year he managed through the last obstacle
under the watchful eye of his pro-spotter, Lance Clifford,
and crossed the line into the exit gate of the obstacle
with only seconds to spare.
The Steel Horse Cowboy answered with
a terrific performance even though he simply needed
to cross through two sets of gates to claim victory
for his second Supercrawl Championship win. Jordan
crawled his FABTECH sponsored single-seat buggy through
the main event obstacle using his BFGoodrich Krawlers
KX and captured one of the biggest wins of his career.

Brian Errea
Leads World's Best at SuperCrawl V
Phoenix, Arizona December 3,
2006 – His peers have long considered Brian
Errea as one of the best pure drivers in rockcrawling.
That, coupled with his easy going personality and
keen sense of mechanical ability, Brian Errea is one
of the top rated rockcrawling pro's in the universe.
Heading into Supercrawl V was no easy
matter. A severe winter storm mixed with troublesome
tow rig problems nearly sidelined one of the world's
top teams from making it to sunny Phoenix, Arizona.
Team Owner, George Wadeson explained, "Only hours
out of Rapid City we encountered an issue with our
tow vehicle, but we were close to home and we were
able to get it fixed overnight and drove straight
here in the middle of a winter storm. The temps overnight
were in the minus tens so we were happy to arrive
to Arizona unscathed."
Facing an international contingent of
fierce competitors, Brian Errea and his spotter, Joachim
Schweisow, battled against three previous Supercrawl
Champs in this the fifth Supercrawl event ever held.
Steve Bullock was the spotter for Amy
Bullock when they captured the first ever Supercrawl
at Supercrawl I. Dean Bulloch and his teammate, Karl
Munford, captured SuperCrawl stardom in 2004 and the
Lovell Brothers in 2005. The time was right for the
dynamic duo to step out and lay down the law and they
did it here in Phoenix, Arizona.
"The boys really performed well
this weekend. Once again they have demonstrated why
they are the champions of this sport. I'm really proud
of their performance and we're looking forward to
2007," explained Team Owner George Wadeson.
Steve Bullock battled to the end as
did the On Track Krawler Team led by driver, Dean
Bulloch. However, neither of these past Supercrawl
Champs had enough to catch RockRunner's supreme team
of Errea/Schweisow as they cruised to victory in the
last competitve event of the 2006 season.
