Lancaster, CALIFORNIA - Johnny Greaves drove his Monster/Potawatomi/Toyota Tundra around the course faster than anyone else after a full round of Friday qualifying here at Antelope Valley. Greaves took a page out of the 2006 playbook roaring to the top spot after setting the fastest lap time in the CORR season opener.
Threatening weather conditions held off throughout the entire qualifying heats, but not after race teams were drenched in the mid-afternoon.
This race course is located in the high-desert a mere 75-miles from downtown Los Angeles. The race course ended up being in near perfect conditions as a full field of Pro-4's and Pro-2's took to the dirt racing hard for the best qualifying time.
Carl Renezeder, Scott Douglas and Johnny Greaves, all racers associated with competing at the top level shined under the spotllight as the charged through this closed short course designed by CORR with assistance from CORR Champion-Ricky Johnson.
The #22 Toyota Tundra was recently skinned with a new look as Monster Energy/Potawatomi Forest Casino and Toyota all teamed together forming a strong marketing partnership that has set the bar for CORR.
