Kincaid WINS 20K Crandon Show-Down Under the Friday Night Lights

Crandon, Wisconsin (August 31, 2007) —The long-awaited Crandon Pro Light Show Down was turned upside down in the first turn as a huge crash involving four drivers brought out the red flag forcing the field to start over and head back into the first turn at full speed.

Jeff Kincaid earned the holeshot in the red flagged first start and he repeated the performance in the second start and then he never looked back. Kincaid, the reigning CORR Pro-Lite Champion, dedicated his victory to his late brother in which the track held a short memorial service prior to Friday night's racing.

Kincaid battled early with Chad Hord, Kyle LeDuc and Rodrigo Ampudia before pulling away from the field to capture yet another win in the Pro Light class. Kincaid has won six prior Pro Light champions in the past years and has proven beyond a doubt that he is the one to beat.

Mexico's Rodrigo Ampudia pushed the Papa's N Beer/MONSTER Energy Pro Light early but he lost a power steering belt and that forced him to run in mid-pack. Ampudia was unable to contend for a podium position.

Rockstar's Kyle LeDuc chased Kincaid through the entire race, but the California native did not have enough to catch the rocket ship Toyota Tacoma driven by the reigning champion.

The Crandon Friday night Show Down brought out a competitive field of racers, some of who suffered early mechanical issues that sidelined them early in the race. Kincaid commented, "We had a transmission issue in the practice so we were forced to change the transmission in the race car and my crew performed well. We are all family and the crew stepped up big tonight allowing us to capture the win in tonight's race.

Art Schmitt, Randy Eller and Josh Hintz were only a few of the drivers involved in the first turn crash with Art Schmitt's race truck suffering major damage to the entire right front of the truck. All these racers will also race Saturday and Sunday in the all important WSORR point's race expected to produce exciting racing.
