Johnny Greaves Rails MONSTER #22 Toyota to Borg Warner Championship CUP Win at Crandon International Raceway
Crandon, Wisconsin (September 2, 2007) —Staged in front of 15,000 screaming fans at the famed Crandon International Raceway, Monster Energy's Johnny Greaves drove his #22 Toyota Tundra to the biggest victory of the season thus far when he won the 2007 Borg Warner Championship CUP.
Greaves had to battle against a field of 10 Pro 2's, all who started the race past the first turn of Crandon's track. Skyjacker's Scott Taylor jumped to the lead, but he knew the charging field of Pro 4's where coming strong. The Pro 4 field started in their regular positions and it was five laps before the Pro 4 field made significant time on the slightly slower Pro 2's.
The #22 Pro 4 railed around the track battling early with Adrian Cenni, who had changed up his truck body color scheme running a dark blue body with blaze orange writing identifying the championship winning truck.
Crew Chief - Curt Greaves talked his brother Johnny through the heavy traffic as the #22 snaked its way thru the slower traffic. From high atop the spotters tower at Crandon International Raceway, Curt watched his brother slide sideways accelerating at full speed into turn one.
