Temecula, CA - (Jan. 3 , 2008) —Barlow Motorsports/Team Red Bull have signed motocross legend Ricky Johnson to a multi-year contract to pilot the number twenty-nine Barlow Motorsports/Team Red Bull Pro-2 Race Truck for the 2008 CORR season. Johnson, who had previously raced the CORR series under the Baldwin Motorsports banner, had a fantastic season in 2007, finishing on the podium eleven times including one first-place win. Johnson will be replacing off-road veteran Rob MacCachren this season, as MacCachren will be driving for the new Menzie Motorsports Team. The Barlow Motorsports/Team Red Bull off-road team is owned and operated by driver/owner Steve Barlow. Steve races the number twenty-nine Barlow Motorsports/Team Red Bull Pro-4 race truck. The team had more wins than any other group in CORR history, with fifteen total podiums and seven first-place finishes.

Barlow Motorsports/Team Red Bull owner/driver Steve Barlow had this to say about the acquisition of Ricky to the team: “I have been friends with Ricky for awhile and we have many common goals. He is already a top-three competitor in Pro-2. We want to give him the platform to build on that success. Obviously with the growth of CORR, the competition will increase. We are committed to building the best off-road racing program in the field, which will include multiple drivers and vehicles.”

“I am really stoked to be on Barlow Mortorsorts/Team Red Bull this season. Steve runs the most professional race program in the business. Both Red Bull and Steve are committed to building on the foundation of their dynamic race program, and doing what is best to grow the sport of off-road racing. This is going to be an exiting year.” Stated the enthusiastic Ricky Johnson.
