Riverside, CALIFORNIA(July 21, 2008) - Rick Huseman Racing returns to the hardcore off road racing regiment this weekend as the 2008 CORR summer break concludes.  The crew at RHR are eager to roll out their freshly prepped #3 FABTECH / Toyo Tires / Toyota TRD / Monster Energy Pro 4 race truck as they continue on the road towards winning the season championship.

Leading an elite field of the nation's top off road racers, Rick Huseman, sits atop the Pro 4 point's race after six rounds of fast and furious battles.  Captivating thousands of spectators who have filled the grandstands, along with a national television audience on both NBC Sports and Speed TV, Championship Off Road Racing is the hottest series in the world of off road motorsports.

Finishing in the top five (four out of six races) has put Rick Huseman out in front of the competition by nine points overall.  Pushing the #3 Pro 4 to the limits in the first half of the season and running his Toyota TRD power plant at maximum potential helped the 34-year old Riverside, California native maintain the lead thusfar in 2008.

"We'll take the 9-point lead into Chula Vista and run as hard as we always do if not better.  We have always ran very fast at this track.  Chula Vista International Raceway has treated us well and in the past we've had some record fast qualifying laps at The Quarry," explained the smiling Rick Huseman.

"The team is amped to get back to the racing schedule. We've spent a significant amount of time during this 6-week summer break working on improvements and I know we are going to go fast.  The long stint has everyone on the team ready to get back to the dirt and put some fast lap times on the board."

Huseman will display his race program in front of thousands of San Diego area fans as CORR Rounds 7 & 8 arrive to the Chula Vista International Raceway near the United States / Mexico border.  The race track at Chula Vista, .76 miles in length, features the biggest jump in CORR racing at well over 150 feet long.  Besides the intense high-speed stretch, the race track forces racers to tune their suspension in order to handle big bumps at full speed.

"FABTECH continues to work with us in engineering state-of-the-art tunable suspension products.  Dave Winner and his crew are trackside with our team and provide a tremendous insight in perfecting the suspension for each track we race at.  The Quarry presents challenges that we don't see at other tracks and we've really worked hard on a setup that allows us to charge hard and win races," said Danny Huseman, Crew Chief of the #3 FABTECH / Toyo Tires / Toyota TRD / Monster Energy Pro 4 race truck.

Rick Huseman Racing is a family affair that includes his brothers and his father all who have raced with him since the beginning.  Family and close friends all come to the track ready to race and lend a hand in what has become an incredible ride over the past decade.

Rick commented, "We have a good time, but that doesn't take away from the fact that we are here to win. My brothers and I are committed to winning the championship this season and although we've had a good first half of the season it's far from over.  I'm happy to be on top at this stage of the game.  As we head into the final ten rounds of racing I know we are going to be better, but I also know the competition has worked as hard as we have in the off season and its going to be good racing to the very end."

Sunday, July 27 will mark an important milestone for CORR.

For the first time the races will be nationally broadcast LIVE on network television.  You won't want to miss this thrilling first step into the future of CORR's programming.  The action begins Saturday, July 26 on SPEED at 3 pm PT and Sunday, July 27 on NBC at 12 pm PT.  Broadcasting from The Quarry in Chula Vista, just south of San Diego, SPEED and NBC will bring you racing LIVE and in high-definition on July 26 and 27.
