CRANDON, Wis (January 20, 2009) The table is set at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway – home of World Championship Off-Road Racing® action -- for two of the largest events in off-road racing history as the sport celebrates its all-important 40th anniversary with the new Off-Road Grand Prix™ Series!
Crandon International Off-Road Raceway, home of the annual BorgWarner Shootout -- the most prestigious award in off-road racing circles -- as well as the Forest County Potawatomi Chairman’s Cup race and the FCP “Decision at Sundown” PRO Light Pickup Cup Challenge Cup, has announced an agreement to grant exclusive rights to the Off-Road Grand Prix™ to hold short-course off-road events at the “Big House” for the 2009 season and continuing for the next several years.
Off-Road Grand Prix race dates at the famous track in Northern Wisconsin include the June 20-21, 2009, FCP Brush Run Races and the September 4-6 BorgWarner Off-Road World Championships over Labor Day weekend. Crandon Off-Road GP races will be under USAC control.
Crandon race dates will be part of a nationwide Series racing coast-to-coast in 2009 featuring the high profile super stars of off-road racing in the U.S.
