Johnny Greaves swept the Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL races at Bark River International Raceway

BARK RIVER, Mich. – Johnny Greaves swept the Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL races at Bark River International Raceway in the PRO 4WD class after an action-packed Rd. 4. Mark Jenkins and Steve Barlow finished second and third, respectively. Greaves also took the Oakley Bomb Award with a lap of 1:22.894.
Also earning wins Sunday were Rob MacCachren (PRO 2WD) and Marty Hart (PRO Light). MacCachren won the Oakley Bomb Award in his class with a fast lap of 1:23.654 and Hart won the Traxxas Maxx Cash Award of $1,000 with his class-leading lap time of 1:28.784. The PRO classes, scheduled to finish out the show here, ran early in an effort to beat inclement weather that was in the area.
Rick Huseman and Mike Jenkins crashed hard before taking the green flag and Scott Douglas went into the wall and then hit Jenkins on Lap 1, causing severe damage to Douglas’ AMSOIL machine. He went on to finish last, unable to complete a single lap. Huseman continued on with his hood and most of his front end just barely hanging on to the chasis, but finally had to park it with two to go.
In PRO 2, Scott Taylor, who eventually finished third, led for most of the first half. It was as the field was heading for the mandatory caution that MacCachren was able to overtake Taylor bringing a hard-charging Ricky Johnson with him. Johnson would take runner-up honors after starting seventh.
Hart made it look easy with his second PRO Light victory of the weekend, passing five cars and taking the lead on the first lap. Polesitter Randy Eller rolled his machine on the frontstretch, but was okay, finishing ninth. Casey Currie advanced one spot over his third-place finish on Saturday with his runner-up performance and Mark Oberg rounded out the podium with a third-place effort.
In the Sportsman classes, the following earned victories: Dale Chestnut (Classix), Matthew Ives (Enduro), Mike Vanden Heuvel (Limited 2WD), Greg Stingle (1600 Light Buggy), Brad Erickson (1600 Buggy), Scott Beauchamp (Super Stock), and Steve Krieman (Super Buggy). CJ Greaves, 15, continued his strong showing in the class after two runner-up finishes this weekend.
