Deegan, Steele, X-Games Gold Medalist Lusk, and Baldwin Converge To Do Battle In TROPHYLITES

Heber, California (August 6, 2008) –The KMC Wheels TROPHYLITE Series Presented by KC HiLiTES is proud to announce that motocross freestyle innovator Brian Deegan, X-Games announcer Cameron Steele, 2008 X-Games Gold Medalist Jeremy Lusk, and Trophy Truck phenomenon BJ Baldwin will all be competing in TROPHYLITE vehicles at the SNORE KC HiLiTES Midnight Special on Saturday, August 9th in Primm, Nevada.

Brian Deegan has been a freestyle innovator since the origin of the sport as well as being the founder of the Metal Mulisha. Brian has compiled an impressive 10 X-Games medals and 2 Gravity Games medals. Currently, he competes full time in Championship Off-Road Racing Series in the Pro-Lite division. Brian also competes in the X Games as has provided exclusive commentary on ESPN for X Games 13, 14 as well as the Moto World Championships. Deegan will pilot the #6033 Farris Motorsports entry. In addition to Deegan driving, it is planned to have 2008 X-Games Moto X Freestyle Gold Medalist Jeremy Lusk navigate for a portion of the race.

Cameron Steele will be making his second attempt at TROPHYLITE competition when he will split driving duties with TROPHYLITE co-founder David Scaroni in the #6027 entry. Not only will Steele be driving this weekend, but also hosting the new Off-Road USA TV show which will follow TROPHYLITE competition throughout the race. Steele’s time behind the wheel should give the viewer a unique perspective of TROPHYLITE action. Steele and Scaroni will be maintaining exhibition status and will not be racing for points or money.

Partnering with Randy Blacker in the BFD Racing, Stripperpole.com #6069 entry will be Trophy Truck phenomenon BJ Baldwin, 2006 SCORE Trophy Truck Champion and winner of the 2008 Baja 500. Baldwin is a resident of nearby Las Vegas and should have no problem navigating around his way around the tough 50 mile course. The various action sports and off-road celebrities competing this weekend will no doubt have their hands full as an impressive 17 TROPHYLITE vehicles are pre-entered for the race.

After the SNORE KC HiLiTES Midnight Special, TROPHYLITE competitors will return for the Best in the Desert Golden West Cycle Las Vegas 150, October 24-26 followed by the Series finale at the Glen Helen Baja Cup December 12-13.
