Heber, California • March 23, 2009 — The 2009 General Tire TROPHYLITE Series is set to resume this weekend at the historic SNORE General Tire Mint 400 Off-Road Race. The General Tire Mint 400 will be the toughest test that TROPHYLITE competitors have faced to date. Following pre-race festivities at the Fremont Street Experience, TROPHYLITE competitors will line up to battle on what has been heralded as the most treacherous course that has ever been run in off-road racing. For the first time in over 20 years, the original sections of the General Tire Mint 400 course which gave the race its prestige and reputation will be run.
The SNORE General Tire Mint 400 is making its return to its prior prominence that it held in the 1980’s as the most festive and toughest off-road race in the United States. Every TROPHYLITE team that takes the start of the SNORE General Tire Mint 400 on Saturday will be challenged just to finish the race, much less being the General Tire Mint 400 TROPHYLITE winner.
Following the DRIVE Racing TROPHYLITE 200, the points standings mirror the race results as #6060 Glen Rolfe holds the points lead after his win, followed by #6056 Billy Worthing. TROPHYLITE newcomer #6033 Brian Rieve holds the third position in the standings. Randy Blacker, Gary Messer, and 2008 Champion Louis Chamberland are all looking to rebound from a disappointing start to the season. TROPHYLITE is awarding five extra bonus points for first place, three points for second place, and one point to third place for those who are able to conquer the course and the competition during the General Tire Mint 400.

Following the SNORE General Tire Mint 400, the 2009 General Tire TROPHYLITE Series makes a stop at the Glen Helen Baja Cup Challenge June 27th-28th. Last year’s season finale held at Glen Helen was thrilling from the drop of the green flag to the checkered flag and this year’s event promises more of the same.
