LOS ANGELES, California (May 5, 2009) The #1A American Honda ATV team of Wayne Matlock, Harold Goodman, Wes Miller and Josh Caster prepare for the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 after drawing the 3rd starting position at the famous Baja desert race.

Wayne Matlock heads up the team and will be the rider of record. With four wins at the last four SCORE races Matlock is looking forward to taking his team on another winning streak. He has chosen a selected group of riders to get this job done and help make his job easier. He will lead the team to Ensenada, Mexico on June 5th for the famous Tecate SCORE Baja 500.

Harold Goodman has returned this year on Matlock’s team for the entire SCORE season. His results last year proved he was just as fast in the desert as he is everywhere else. He returned this year for the San Felipe 250 and helped the team take the win.

Wes Miller will return this year to race at the Baja 500 on Matlock’s team. Wes has many years of Baja racing under his belt and helped the team get the wins at both the Baja 500 and Baja 1000 last year.

Josh Caster is the new rider for Matlock’s team. His first SCORE race was the San Felipe 250 where he helped the team take the win. This will be his first at the Baja 500.

The team’s 3rd place starting position provides them with a great opportunity to take their Honda TRX700XX to the winner’s circle once again. After a first place finish at the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, they are now in a position they want to keep and that is leading the points.

Confident with the new Honda TRX700XX as the race quad of choice for Baja and its proven track record at the last four SCORE races, the team will once again take their Honda to Baja, prepped for the win. With the help of JCR/Honda for the pitting service, the Matlock – #1A American Honda team will be the team to beat.

Matlock Racing would like to thank their sponsors for the continued support:
