America's top off road
short course racers continue to move into the world-famous
Crandon International OffRoad Raceway today in preparation
for Rounds 3 & 4 of the 2006 Lucas Oil CORR Pro Series.
The buzz throughout the pits at Crandon
International Offroad Raceway is all about the first turn
tomorrow morning. From the start line drivers will blast
down the straight away jockeying for position preparing
for the next round of racing in the prestigious Lucas
Oil CORR Pro Series.
Although, Saturday's action is the opening
weekend for CORR racing here at the famous race track.
Crandon International Off Roadway Promoter - Doug Davis
aka The Crandon Man has been fullspeed ahead preparing
for the big show set to kick off on Saturday morning with
what is expected to be some great racing action.
Arriving early to the Crandon International
Raceway was Red Bull's Steve Barlow, Baldwin Racing, Renezeder
Motorsports, Coyne Motorsports, John Marking Racing/FOX
Shox all lined up early Thursday morning to secure their
pit spots.
Here Friday morning the pits have completely
filled up where Crandon officials reported reservations
for 300 pit spots under currently clear skies. All week
long the weather reporters have predicted rain in the
late afternoons, however the skies have been blue and
the temperatures absolutely perfect here in Eastern Wisconsin.
Many of the West Coast based teams fought
horrible weather conditions trekking across the nation
to Wisconsin including FABTECH's Rick Huseman who battled
with a hail storm that nearly flattened his front radiator.
Huseman commented, "We made it and we're looking
for a win this weekend."
Pro-Lite phenom, Robert Naughton had his
newly purchased stacker trailer rear door come loose from
the mounting points as he drove down the Interstate 70
at speed. Naughton and his crew were waved down by a passing
motorist and he discovered the new trailer door was mounted
incorrectly from the beginning. Naughton said, "It's
always an adventure!"
DirtNewz caught up with Pro-2 Winner Todd
LeDuc and the 2004 Pro-Lite Champion, Kyle LeDuc. Listen
in as they give it to their fans direct from the pits
at Crandon.
Skyjacker's Kyle LeDuc
2006 Pro-2 Winner Todd LeDuc
Ross Hoek and his crew arrived in his near
monster-huge custom built Toter-Home towing a massive
53' foot trailer behind his new office on wheels. Hoek
is racing Sportsman-2 in 2006 and then hoping to move
to Pro-2 in 2007.
A couple new additions to the Crandon race
track includes the Precision Gear Starter's Tower, the
newly debuted MasterCraft water truck and just announced
Skyjacker finish line all here in Eastern Wisconsin.
California-based MasterCraft Seats continues
to expand its brand marketing throughout the United States
with a big presence here in the grand daddy of off-road
racing venues, Crandon International Off Road Raceway.
MasterCraft Seats is the sponsor for the raceway ticket
booth and the official water truck along with sponsoring
the Lucas Oil CORR Pro Series and presenting contingency
awards to winning drivers throughout the 2006 season.

Fans have begun to arrive to the camping
area of the Crandon Raceway as crews are all scrambling
to meet technical inspection that has been going on since
mid-afternoon.

the day on Saturday including the live commentary of the
racing action webcasted to your computer as the action
happens from the dirt.
