Rodrigo Ampudia Doubles Up at Crandon Borg-Warner
Championships With Two Big Wins
DirtNewz Staff -
Pro-Lite Winner- Rodrigo Ampudia
Mexican racer, Rodrigo Ampudia wasted no time
charging to the front of the pack in the wild Pro-Lite race
as he doubled up his wins this weekend capturing victory on
both Saturday and Sunday.
Ampudia battled with fellow rookie, Robert Naughton,
who finished second on both days. After a wild crash on Saturday,
Chad Hord came back and put together a great performance that
saw him finish on the podium in third position. Hord credited
his crew for their dedication in putting his truck back together
working until 4:00 a.m.
Jeff Kincaid suffered an onboard fire that sidelined
him after only two laps. 2004 CORR Pro-Lite Champion - Kyle
LeDuc rolled his Skyjacker Pro-Lite as he tried to pass Robert
Naughton in the Argon loop. That crash slowed LeDuc enough
that he was never able to get back on the leap lap.

WIN in Wreck Marred Sportsman-2 Race.
Baudoux clinches Sportsman-2 Season Championship
with victory.
DirtNewz Staff -
Sportsman 2 Winner- Dan Baudoux
In a wreck marred race that took out the #296
Sportsman-2 truck of Bob Gersmehl, Dan Baudoux roared to victory
in an eight lap run after the Gersmehl crash.
The big wreck occurred in turn two near the
Ford Truck barn. More details later.
Renezeder Dominates Pro-2 Victory
DirtNewz Staff -
Carl Renezeder Pro-2 Winner
Round 12 started with an incredible run for
the 17 Pro-2 trucks as they battled gingerly in the first
turn at 90 miles per hour. Leading the group of the nation's
top drivers was the Skyjacker sponsored Scott Taylor who runs
Rousch Racing engine power. However, that all changed when
Taylor, after he roared to the lead in the first five laps,
unexpectedly pulled off the course.
Renezeder pulled out to the front and never
looked back taking the Nissan / Lucas Oil Titan truck to victory
lane once again!
Finishing in second position wasthe # 7 Rancho/Amsoil
truck of Scott Douglas. In third it was Mike Oberg who outlasted
Monster Energy Drink's Jerry Whelchel in his bid for the podium.
Whelchel had got around Oberg in the final two turns, however
as Whelchel approached the finish line he lost his left rear
tire, which allowed Oberg to retake the third position position
and reach the podium for the second time in as many days.
Douglas Doubles His
Pro-4 Victory With Epic Run at Crandon International Off Road
Raceway
DirtNewz Staff -
Scott Douglas Pro-4 Winner
Scott "Double Trouble" Douglas captured
victory with an epic run at Crandon International Off Road
Raceway late this morning as he won Round 12 of the 2006 CORR
Lucas Oil Pro Series. However, Douglas is far from finished
this weekend as he will head to the Borg-Warner Championship
Shootout in great position as his Amsoil Pro-4 appears to
be unstoppable this weekend.
Carl Renezeder drove the wheels off his # 17
Lucas Oil Pro-4 taking second place just in front of Curt
Leduc.
Curt LeDuc driving his Skyjacker Ford # 43 truck
charged hard throughout the entire race capturing a third
place podium position that adds to his cumulative point total
towards the championship point's race.
