Honda’s Red Riders 1X Win at
Terrible’s Town
Pahrump, Nevada (April 29, 2006)
Steve Hengeveld and Mike Childress hauled the mail today after a clean run in the Nevada desert capturing another victory for Honda’s trophy case. Steve Hengeveld told DirtNewz exclusively, “We had a great run this morning and ended up with an approximate 15 minute lead after Pit 5. Both Mike and I were sore because we both crashed off our bikes in the past couple weeks pretty hard, however, once we got out in front we just ran our game plan.”
This win marks another victory for the two Honda Red Riders after Childress joined the team for the 2005 Baja 1000 and have been with them ever since.
Blazing the trail from the start line is John Herder in his JIMCO Class 1500 who started first off the line this morning just moments ago. Here in the Nevada desert at the same time we have the lead motorcycles finishing the race and well provide you with the news as we get it.
