Offical Press Release on Pit Crew Challenge
Las Vegas, Nevada
— Set among the bright lights of downtown
Las Vegas, Nevada, the hometown favorites and hosts
of the 2006 SCORE Terrible's Cup II, the Terrible
Herbst Motorsports team, claimed victory in the
PIT CREW CHALLENGE to take home the top spot.
The BFGoodrich Tractor-Trailer
parked in the middle of Fremont Street set the stage
for the SCORE elite truck racers as thousands of
off road racing enthusiasts crowded against the
railing of the stage, screaming and cheering on
the different teams competing for the $10,000 top
prize.

The competetion began
around 8:00 p.m. with temperatures hovering around
105 degrees and high humidity with absolutely no
wind or breeze in effect.

ESPN/NBC/ABC Sporstcaster
Cameron Steele handled emcee' duties and kept the
crowd close to the action as he called the play-by-play
along with interviewing drivers and team members
in only a way that Steele could do so. Steele called
upon fellow SCORE Trophy Truck racer and Nextel
NASCAR Cup Team Owner/Driver, Robby Gordon, who
joined the fray in the sweltering heat of Las Vegas'
Fremont Street.
The # 19 Terrible
Herbst Trophy Truck was the first on center stage
and went head-to-head with SCORE Trohpy Truck Point's
Leader - Ballastic BJ Baldwin. The Terrible Herbst
Motorsports Pit Team outperformed the BJ Baldwin
Pit Team by mere seconds to take an early lead.
Monster Energy Drink's
Alan Pflueger pulled his # 28 Monster Energy Drink
sponsored truck into the center stage as they prepared
to beat the Terrible Herbst time, but they suffered
a huge mistake that put the front of the Trophy
Truck nearly flat on the ground. In fact, the front
spindles were only inches from the solid concrete.
The truck smashed hard to the ground after the jack
crossbar came loose from underneath the passenger
side of the truck. The Pflueger race team was well
on their way to a great performance before a misaligned
jack crossbar sidelined the Monster Energy Drink
race truck in downtown Las Vegas.

Soon afterwards,
the Battle of FABTECH, between Best In The Desert
Champion Jesse Jones and PCI / FABTECH Racing's
Scott Steinberger, took place. With both crews working
tenaciously to outduel each other, a mishap on the
rear jack of the #76 Jesse Jones Trophy Truck allowed
the #7 PCI Racing Truck to claim the win over Jones.
However, neither
Steinberger or Jones had enough to take a lead over
the Terrible Herbst Motorsports team who put in
a commanding performance under the lights of downtown
Vegas to take the win in their hometown.
