Renezeder Qualifies Number 1 Pro 4 / Ricky Johnson Leads Pro 2 / Rob Naughton Claims Pro Lite Pole Position

Greaves Loses Transmission in First Turn in Qualifying

Los Angeles , Calif., (May 19, 2007) –Carl Renezeder pushed his #17 Lucas Oil Pro 4 to the lead to take the number one qualifier position among the top Pro 4 racers in the world. Travis Coyne driving his dad's Pro Comp Pro 4 railed the hot rod around the race course taking the second position just in front of FABTECH / Toyota / Toyo Tires sponsored Rick Huseman. Coyne was smooth as he ran a clean line just in front of Rick Huseman. Adrian Cenni ran fast and qualified in the fourth position just in front of Curt LeDuc driving the new Skyjacker FORD shod with Toyo Tires.

The story in the Pro 4 class was about two very fast racers, Scott Douglas and Johnny Greaves. Greaves made it around the track for the first lap and then coming out of turn one he lost a transmission that sideline the reigning CORR Pro 4 Champion. Borg-Warner Champion - Scott Douglas on the other hand ran solid but finished up in 7th position in the middle of the field of racers. When racing starts tomorrow the racers will start LeMans style and CORR will enforce the mandatory yellow caution at the halfway point and then the wild action will begin as they charge to the finish line.
