Johnny Greaves
Battles Back After Disappointing Saturday Race
(September 16, 2007) Saturday's Pro-4 race was
a heart breaker for Greaves Motorsports. Johnny Greaves battled
back and forth with Rick Huseman and took the lead within
the first few laps. On lap fourteen, with a strong lead Johnny
Greaves went over the k-rail coming out of turn one and hit
a semi tractor trailer that was left just off the track. Johnny's
crew stayed up until the wee hours of the morning replacing
the entire right side of the cage. With his truck ready to
go Sunday morning, Johnny Greaves was on a mission for the
Pro-4 Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup Race. Greaves battled his
way from the middle of the pack and stayed strong until the
madatory yellow came out.
With three laps to go leader Adrian Cenni pulled
off the track with a blown motor, giving Renezeder and Greaves
a chance for victory. The two battled around the track, banged
fenders and Renezeder rolled into the k-rail. Johnny flew
towards the finishline to capture victory in his Monster Energy/
Forest County Potowatomi/ BFGoodrich Pro-4. A controversal
call was made and Greaves was docked 9 points for rough driving,
but maintained his win. Rick Huseman and Travis Coyne rounded
out the Pro-4 podium.

Rob MacCachren dominated the track this weekend
in both his Pro-2 and Super Buggy, taking home four wins.
After eight laps Rob MacCachren took the lead over Jeremy
McGrath who captured his first podium finish this weekend
in his #71 Monster Energy Pro-2. Rob MacCachren told Dirtnewz
he thought McGrath had it. McGrath bicycled his truck coming
out of turn three where MacCachren took the lead and ran away
with the win. Jerry Welchel stayed strong all day and took
third place in his Monster Energy/ KMC Pro-2.

Robert Naughton walked away with his sixth Pro-Lite
win today in Antelope Valley, followed by Jeff Huseman and
Casey Currie. Naughton started in the second row and got by
the leaders before the finishing the first lap. Naughton held
onto the lead to bring home another win and keep his lead
in the points race. Kyle LeDuc charged hard from the back
but was taken out of the race due to wheel failure. It was
said that the center of his wheel broke out sending him end
over end.
