Riviera Racing #3 On Top at the 2007 Laughlin
Desert Challenge Trophy Truck Battle
Laughlin, Nevada (January 20, 2007) Rob MacCachren
drove the #3 Riviera Racing Trophy Truck through a war torn battlefield
today as the trophy truck drivers raced door-to-door in what
was an incredible show for the fans here at the Laughlin Desert
Challenge. MacCachren recently joined Mark Post in the #3 Riviera
Racing Trophy Truck for the 2007 seasn and in their first race
of the season they have scored the lead heading into Sunday's
finale.
Andy McMillin and Alan Pflueger gave the fans of
Laughlin a spectacular race as the two energy drink sponsored
racers were raced as hard as it gets around this course and were
bumper to bumper and door to door back and forth many times.
At the finish line Plueger said, "Andy blew
by us out there and the next thing I knew is we had a serious
race on our hands. Andy was fast, but we caught him and he moved
over. I've got to tell you that I have an incredible amount of
respect for him, he raced clean and we both had a blast out there.
Andy McMillin told us, "That was absolutely
the best race I've had with someone in a very long time. Pflueger
and I raced hard from start to finish and just had a blast. He
got us by a little bit today, but tomorrow we'll be very fast."

action here in Laughlin. Herder battled against and entire field
of Class 1 teams that included Ebberts, Pfankuch, Weyrich's and
Wilson brothers.
Debuting his brand new JIMCO Class 1, John Herder
proved once again that he is simply faster than a speeding bullet.
Rod Hall Takes Saturday Lead towards another
Hall Victory
Laughlin, Nevada (January 20, 2007) If the SCORE
Desert Series could consider one of their racers as a legend,
it has to be Rod Hall! The Man, The Myth, The Legend..the one
and only tough veteran racer that refuses to ever give up. Well,
this morning Rod Hall continued on his merry way enroute to yet
another solid win leading towards Sunday's finale where he may
rack up another check mark in the WIN column. Hall continues
to push HUMMER to the forefront of desert racing.
Kupiec Drives Class 8 over Vanderwey, Adler
and Ampudia
Laughlin, Nevada (January 20, 2007) Class 8 had
six trucks on the course and Kupiec outperformed them all in
a run for the checkers. Charging hard was Nick Vanderway in the

WIK Battles with Cooley & Yee in Class 10 -
Wik WINS
Laughlin, Nevada (January 20, 2007) Adam WIK ran
a strategic race here Saturday morning under tough conditions
that so far have challenged the best racers in the desert. Rob
MacCachren driving the Will Higman race car started off demolishing
the competition, but lost a motor near the start finish line
of this race sidelining him after taking a big lead. John Cooley
and Adam Wik ran strong and outlasted the field to take first
and second. Lobsam Yee finished in third postion and told us
the race course is incredibly chewed up and by tomorrow it's
going to be a mess.

First Blood in Class 12
Laughlin, Nevada (January 20, 2007) A huge field
of Class 12's arrived to Laughlin, lined up and took to the desert,
but the carnage took its toll on the large class.
Like cream rising to the top, Potter/Worley dominated
Saturday's race claiming first blood in the ever so competitive
Class 12/SCORE Lite race. Pinky ran to the checkered line slightly
off the pace with Desert Assassin - Cameron Steele behind the

Westhoff Rallies Over Seeley and Bruckmann
for SCORE Season Opener Race
Perfect Weather Greets Opening Race
Day at SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge
Laughlin, Nevada (January 20, 2007) The green
flag dropped at exactly 7:00 a.m. with SCORE CEO-Sal Fish sending
the nation's top racers into the Nevada desert.
Capturing the
first victory of the year was Joey Westhoff driving the #501
Class 5 Unlimited car owned by Chris Bowman. Westhoff, the
21year-old desert racer has steadily built his driving career
in the past five years after many years racing 5/1600 cars
in the Barstow desert. However, he is no stranger to the SCORE
podium as he was took second place with MasterCraft Racing's
Robbie Pierce at the 2006 SCORE Baja 500.
Today marks history as Westhoff drove a spectacular
race after rolling the #501 during prerunning yesterday afternoon.
While driving at speed, Westhoff suffered a broken BTR wheel
that split apart at the casting and sent him and the car over
5 times. Car owner-Chris Bowman and Westhoff led the crew as
they put the car back together and came here this morning beating
the SCORE Class 5 Unlimited Champion-George Seeley.
In other action, Class 11 Champion, Eric Solorzano
suffered some sort of problem on his third lap as he pulled
off the race course and into the pits, however, Solorzano is
the lone Class 11 racing in his class and he'll no doubt take
the important Class 11 victory tomorrow morning.
Class 12's are up next so check back for
results.
