Cuffaro Motorsports Solid in 4th Place Series Points Race

San Diego, CA (June 8, 2008) Racer Todd Cuffaro arrived to the Los Angeles Fairplex in Pomona, California with one thing on his mind and that was to continue his chase towards a championship season.  The young rookie driver has faced perhaps the deepest field of CORR Pro Lite racers in history.  So far in the 2008 season, CORR has seen all of the nation’s top Pro Lite racers compete in the predominant West Coast series.  In previous seasons, some past champions have not competed in the CORR series opting to stay closer to home.  However, that is not the case in the 2008 season.

June 13, 2008 -The truck was among the fastest in the first practice session on Saturday morning.  When qualifying started we ran a quick lap and then pushed harder on lap 2.  Unfortunately we hit a deep rut in a high banked turn and went for a ride.  The truck did one flip and then stuck the landing on the other side of the K rail.  We still managed to qualify 11th out of the ultra competitive 28 truck field on just 1 lap!

Pomona, CA (June 11, 2008) Johnny Greaves drove his two Monster Energy Potawatomi Toyotas with great passion and valor this Sunday tuning in an impressive performance in the Pro-2 class and leading the Pro-4 class for 10 laps until his front end failed. The fans at Pomona greeted Greaves in the pits after each race with the enthusiasm as if he had won, reminding everyone that the Monster Energy Potawatomi Toyota star is still recognized for his hard driving performances even when he don’t win the race.

LAKE FOREST, CA (June 10, 2008)“I just remember thinking ‘how many times can a guy hit you in one corner,’” commented Carl Renezeder after his 72nd career win in a race that had greater resemblance to American Gladiators than off-road racing. If any driver left the L.A. Fairplex in Pomona after rounds five and six of the CORR season this weekend with all their fiberglass and no broken parts, it was from sheer luck.

Riverside, CALIFORNIA (June 10, 2008) In a fast and furious race that entertained a nearly sold out crowd of 9,000 fans packed in the purpose-built LA Fairplex-Pomona CORR race track, Rick Huseman won his second Pro 4 race of the season, regaining the overall 2008 championship point’s lead.

Rick Huseman Racing arrived to the .76-mile race track on Wednesday afternoon and didn’t stop tuning on the #3 FABTECH / Toyo Tires / Toyota TRD / Monster Energy sponsored truck until moments before the green flag dropped in the early Saturday afternoon.  The first few laps of Saturday’s Round 5 were a myriad of aggressive hard racing and the #3 Pro 4 was the victim of the unintended collision.  Saturday’s race was restarted after course workers removed twisted chromoly tube and smashed fiberglass, which laced several turns of the race course.   A significant amount of the debris was from Huseman’s Pro 4.

June 10, 2008Team Red Bull/BOSCH claimed three 2nd place podiums at round 5-6 at CORR in Pomona. The packed field of Pro-2s and Pro-4s were ready for battle on the part dirt part asphalt course at the Pomona Fairplex. The track had only slight changes including a shortened asphalt section since round 1 and 2. The packed field of Pro-2 s were broken into two mains: an (a) main event and an (b) main event.

June 10, 2008 (Belvidere, IL) Scott Taylor and the #8 Skyjacker Suspensions Wernimont Designs Roush Performance BFGoodrich Tires Ford F-150 headed back to Pomona looking to get back to his “championship style” form. The two rounds of racing in Primm were hard on the team, as mechanical failure and heavy contact from another competitor, put Taylor Racing back in the pack of the Championship standings.

Pomona, CA (June 9, 2008)  Team Toyo® Off-Road drivers, Todd LeDuc and Rick Huseman, celebrated a great CORR (Championship Off-Road Racing™) race during this weekend’s stop at the LA County Fairgrounds in Pomona, California.  LeDuc dominated the Pro 2® field, winning by over two-seconds during Saturday’s main event, then by more than three-seconds during Sunday’s race which featured 24-trucks.  Todd LeDuc’s Rockstar/Makita/Kal Gard Lubricants/Toyo Tires Ford F-150 truck competes on 35X12.50R17 Open Country M/T-R® tires.

POMONA, Calif.Racing by its nature would say it probably had to happen sooner or later, and Sunday was the first time in six rounds of the 2008 Championship Off-Road Racing Series (CORR) that the six-driver, seven-vehicle Menzies Motorsports did not visit victory lane at least once. Rob MacCachren finished second in Pro Buggy and Brock Krahenbuhl picked up a third in Single Buggy to keep the popular Las Vegas-based team on the podium.

Pomona, CA (June 8, 2008)Todd LeDuc used the luck of the draw and a dominant race truck to complete a sweep of the Pro 2 class main events during the Championship Off-Road Racing series weekend at the Los Angeles County Fairplex.

LeDuc, 29, who had led every lap en route to his first win of the season on Saturday repeated that performance on Sunday, thanks to a fortunate inversion of the top qualifiers that moved him from eighth on the starting grid to the pole.

Pomona, CA (June 8, 2008)In an eventful weekend complete with heated battles and fights to the finish, Todd LeDuc came out the big winner at the Fairplex in Pomona in Championship Off Road Racing.

Todd LeDuc in his Makita/Rockstar #3 dominated the Pro 2 class holding onto the lead throughout the race.  Behind LeDuc, two neck and neck battles broke out; one between Carl Renezeder and the #8 Skyjacker Ford of Scott Taylor for second, and another between Pro 2 Champion Jerry Whelchel and Rob MacCachren in his Menzies Motorsports #21 for fourth.

Dear  Drivers:

After reviewing Adrian Cenni's disqualifications, it has become evident that with the new points awarding system, a Disqualification is too severe of a penalty.  In comparing this year's points system to last year's,  a disqualification decision this year would have three to four times the impact that it would have had in previous years, effectively erasing a driver's chance of being a competitive force in the standings.

San Diego, CA (June 4, 2008) – Headed into the third race weekend of the 2008 season, Nissan/UPR Racing Supply supported, Todd Cuffaro, continues to make strides in his first full season in the Championship Off Road Racing series.

TODD LE DUC IN PRO 2 TRUCK HAS TWO FOURTHS IN FIRST POMONA RACE

POMONA, Calif.(June 4, 2008)— Seven weeks ago, when Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc rolled into the Los Angeles County Fairplex for the opening event on the Championship Off-Road Racing series schedule, it did so with high hopes and a lot of questions.

Two of its Toyo-shod Ford trucks were new and a third had been extensively revamped. Two of its drivers were in new classes, and one of them was a raw rookie. And there was no way of accurately measuring how much progress the competition had made during the offseason.
