Dakar 2008: Jim Beam Turkish Team is ready for the Dakar

Mr. Kemal Merkit who had been in Dakar Rally 4 times before and who had the title of "First Turk ever finished the Dakar Rally" and his team mate Mr. Kutlu Torunlar will compete in Dakar 2008 sponsored by Jim Beam. This is the second time Turkish Team will compete in Dakar Rally.

Jim Beam Turkish Team is going to compete in motorcycle category with their KTM 450 exc-r mecasystem pro rally. Turkish Team’s first goal is finished the rally in good condition and be in first 25 overall standing. Also, they are aiming to be in first 3 places on their 450cc category.

In 2007 Jim Beam Turkish Team successfully finished the rally in a good conditions and they got 2nd and 3rd place on the "Trunk - Moto". This year Jim Beam Turkish Team will compete without assistance as well as last year and they are planning to win the trophy in this category.
