Feb 19, 2008 - Johnson Valley OHV Area will be home to the first of its kind, a Rock-Sports marathon event entitled, “King of the Hammers,” held in the Southern California rock canyons that some argue gave birth to the rock crawling industry over ten years ago.

Johnson Valley, CA – Pistol Pete Sohren confirmed with DIRTnewz that he willing be competing in the upcoming newest Rock-Sport event, King of the Hammers.

Slated to be held on February 22, 2008, Sohren will enter a field of over 50 competitors from both the desert racing and professional rockcrawling disciplines, in an event that will shock the off road motor sports as one of the most exciting venues seen in the industry in many years.
