2009 TORC Rounds 7 & 8 VIDEOS Bark River Offroad Raceway, Bark River, Michigan
This text will be replaced
July 10, 2009 - TORC racers had their first taste of Bark River, Michigan's newly designed track during tonight's practice. TORC promoter Ricky Johnson met with Bark River officials last week to help add a fresh look to the well known track. Racers took to the track early this evening in hopes of finding the best lines for tomorrow's Round 7 of race action and did just that. Not too much has changed but track workers have piled the burms high in order to make a second line for racers to use come race day.
The controversy at the track is that TORC officials told Pro 4 driver Rick Huseman after the last race, at Crandon Offroad Raceway, that he must remove suspension parts from his truck that were considered illegal. Huseman has won five out of the last six races and will have to prove himself after making those changes for the first time of the season. Huseman was running only 2 seconds behind Johnny Greaves who ran the fastest lap today.
Greaves and Huseman were faster than the rest of the Pro 4 field by 5 seconds, while Ricky Johnson dominated in the Pro 2 class.
Be sure to tune in to DIRTnewz LIVE tomorrow as we broadcast our LIVE turn by turn race action with our hosts Tim "Desertbull" Sanchez and Todd Tenbroek bring you the action LIVE from Bark River Offroad Raceway. Check out our videos throughout the weekend as well as full photo galleries.
