“Cousins Finish 1-2”

CRANDON, Wis. – The largest off-road racing crowd in the history of the sport witnessed a thrilling race for the World Championship Mole Lake Casino & Lodge Stock Truck Cup at legendary Crandon Raceway with Scott Beauchamp, Escanaba, Mich., taking the win.

Crandon International Off-Road Raceway, Friday night, September 4, 6 PM (Central) Hord Outlasts Kincaid to Win 3rd Annual FCP “Decision at Sundown”

CRANDON, Wis. – Crandon International Off-Road Raceway kicked off its 40th Anniversary in a huge way Friday night as Chad Hord out-dueled Jeff Kincaid to win the 3rd annual FCP “Decision at Sundown” Pro Light Pickup Cup Race. A record Friday night crowd saw Hord push to an early lead in front of Kincaid. By the halfway mark, Kincaid had slipped past Hord and look to have the race in hand. Following a competition yellow flag, Kincaid broke a wheel, leaving the door open for Hord to take the win. The race was marred by accidents, mishaps and frequent yellow flags as drivers pushed hard to take home special prizes at the opening 40th anniversary race in Crandon. Chris Brandt finished a strong second, followed by Mark Oberg.

Joins Father on famous BorgWarner Cup

CRANDON, Wis. – Kyle LeDuc, Beaumont, Calif., captured his first BorgWarner Cup win at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway in Traxxa TORC Series presentec by AMSOIL Pro 4x4 racing action Sunday. LeDuc, 26-year-old son of 1998 BorgWarner Cup champ Curt LeDuc, Cherry Valley, Calif., won a record $43,500 for taking the checkers in the pressure-filled TORC Pro 4x4 showdown. He joins Helio Castroneves, 2009 IRL Indy 500 winner, as winners of the top BorgWarner prizes in their respective Series.

Crandon, Wisconsin - Rockstar Energy Racing's Rob MacCachren arrived to the nation's oldest short course off road race course and the place he has had success at since the mid-1990s. Racing in front of 50,000 plus fans all standing on their feet cheering on the nation's top off road racing icons. Rob MacCachren weaved his magic through the intense land rush start that the Crandon International Raceway is well regarded for and after two full days of racing MacCachren charged his Rockstar/Mastercraft Pro 2 sponsored Pro 2 around the 1.65-mile race course each day resulting in podium finishes. Most importantly, MacCachren increased his overall season points total in his quest for the 2009 TORC Series Championship.

Crandon, WI (September 6, 2009) - Greaves Motorsports drivers, Johnny Greaves and Jeremy McGrath took to the dirt track at Crandon International Raceway with hopes of multiple victories for the high profile off road race team. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the famed 1.65-mile track, the off road racing icons, Johnny and Jeremy demonstrated they were fast during Crandon's Friday practice and qualifying sessions.

Riverside, CA (September 8, 2009) - Rick and his band of Husemans made the more than 30 hour trek from California to the fabled Crandon track with high expectations and a desire to show what the Monster Energy/ Traxxas/ Toyota/ Toyo team could do in front of more than 50,000 of the most rabid off-road fans in the country. Fans made the pilgrimage for the 40th Anniversary celebration of the Crandon track. Rick started the “Monster” weekend on fire by setting a new PRO 4x4 track record and the stage for another great showdown in a tight points battle for the Traxxas TORC Series championship.

Corona, CA (August 4, 2009) - The Traxxas TORC Truck Series presented by AMSOIL will make history this weekend broadcasting LIVE for the first time on network television from the Crandon International Off Road Raceway on Sunday September 6th, 2009 at 4pm EST on ABC (1pm Pacific Time).

"This will be the first time that the TORC Truck Series will be carried live on a major network, and represents the next step in the evolution of our sport and our series-the premier off road series in the world," stated Ricky Johnson of TORC. "Throughout the season we have had great ratings, and we expect the trend to continue for this live telecast. With our time slot and the racing competition this will be a phenomenal show."

"This will be another groundbreaking weekend for TORC-it's amazing what we've accomplished in just a few short months, it just keeps getting bigger and better, added Mitch Covington, co-owner of TORC. "Labor Day weekend with two days of off road racing, we expect to draw a crowd of more than 40,000 spectators, add live network TV and it just doesn't get any better than this."

The final two rounds of The Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL will be held at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris,CA (September 24th-25th) and Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV (October 23rd-24th).

CRANDON, Wisconsin (September 4, 2009) – Chad Hord rages the #8 Boss Snow Plow Pro-Lite to his first ever Decision at Sundown victory here at Crandon Off Road Raceway. Hord mentioned that this was his last Desision at Sundown race as he is stepping into the Pro-2 class and leaving his famous Boss Snow Plow Pro-Lite behind. Hord maintained a strong speed throughout the entire race and battled with Jeff Kincaid from the start. Kincaid broke the entire left front suspension off his truck and lost the lead with only two laps to go. Hord pushed hard to the finish over Chris Brandt and Mike Oberg. Stay tuned as TORC kicks off with Round 11 of racing tomorrow and follows with LIVE TV Coverage on ABC for Round 12 on Sunday. CRANDON, Wisconsin (September 4, 2009) - Last year's Fall Crandon had Johnny Greaves setting the new track record in his MONSTER Energy Pro-4 but Rick Huseman overtook that record this evening. Huseman rolled the #3 MONSTER Energy Pro-4 Toyota into turn 1 to overtake the current track record by 2 seconds. Huseman powered forward in hopes of coming out victorious in tomorrow's Round 11 of TORC Racing and then on to LIVE ABC TV for Sunday's Round 12.

August 27, 2009 - Robby Gordon took a spin in his No. 007 TORC Polaris-branded, Chevy Silverado race truck last week in Crandon, Wisc., in preparation for the upcoming TORC race Labor Day weekend. Gordon returns to Crandon on the 20-year anniversary of his first World Championship win in the series, with hopes of capturing the first cup race of the TORC season. He is still the youngest off-road racer in history to win a World Championship title at Crandon.

What: A “Once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to ride the ORIGINAL RACE COURSE for the first Brush Run, the much talked about 25 ¼ course that made Crandon famous and the “Baja of the Northwoods!” Much work has gone into getting approvals and permissions to use various plots of land to reconstruct the original course. This is the first and last time for this very special activity. It is a one time event, starting at 10 AM. Once the last participant has taken the green flag, the gates will be immediately locked up when the trail ride is finished. This is only a single day temporary trail.
