LAS VEGAS, Nv – (August 28, 2009) – Testing the endurance and determination of even the most experienced teams, Best in the Desert's Vegas to Reno "The Long Way Race" hosted an impressive field of over 250 entries for the longest point-to point race in the United States.
ROD HALL RACING CAPTURES TWO PRODUCTION CLASS WINS AT
TSCO VEGAS TO RENO
8/24/09 (Reno, NV) – Rod Hall Racing captured two class victories at the grueling three-day, 1000 mile TSCO Vegas to Reno off-road race. Chad Hall drove the V8 HUMMER H3 Alpha in the Stock Full 4100 class and Emily Miller piloted the H3 I5 in the 3100 Stock Mini class. Both drivers ran the entire distance with their co-drivers Thad Stump and Sam Cothrun. In 2008, Miller ironmanned the Vegas to Reno, becoming the first woman to do so. She was able to make it a repeat for 2009 with double the distance.
Scott & Andy McMillin CROWNED 2009 Vegas to Reno 1000-mile Desert Race Champions
San Diego, California (August 27, 2009) Andy McMillin was crowned the 2009 BITD Vegas to Reno OVERALL Winner after three days of battles with many of the top off road racers in the United States. The 2009 edition of Best in the Desert’s Vegas to Reno “The Long Way” race featured a three-day racing format that covered 997-miles of Nevada’s treacherous desert.
Four Qualify for 2010 King of the Hammers at BITD Vegas To Reno the Long Way Race
JOHNSON VALLEY, CA, AUGUST 27, 2009: Four racers join the 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers qualifying list after successfully starting Day 3 of the Best In The Desert (BITD) Vegas to Reno the Long Way race. An epic race that started on August 20 in Beatty, NV and ended 996 miles later on August 22 in Dayton, NV. The qualifying names added to the list are: Kevin Sacalas, Brandon Watson, Ben Napier, and Dean Bulloch.
