Rip Chase Crews missed an important fuel stop at Mexico Hwy 1 where the road turns from the beach and into EL Rosario towards the Military Checkpoint, however it appears that riders made it to the overnight stop here at the Baja Cactus Hotel.

7:31 p.m. and the Rip Riders have arrived to the Baja Cactus Hotel in El Rosario. The Carne Asada fiesta is kicking off and the cold Pacifico is flowing as the moto riders are ready for showers and some well deserved chow from today.
All Rip Riders have arrived safely and the only rider out of the Full Pull competition is Las Vegas off road racer, Larry Job, who lost a transmission in his Yamaha moto today. Larry rode in a chase truck for 20 miles before he ended up getting on a spare HONDA bike and finishing out the day.

It looks like Larry Job will be the first one out of the running for the 'Full Pull' award as he blew the transmission on his Yamaha today. Job had no choice and had to load his bike on the trailer.
Larry was able to get on a backup bike at the lunch stop but is still out of the running for a FULL PULL award. Despite the unfortunate break Larry was in high spirits as he blasted down the beach and south toward El Rosario where we will stop for the night.

Rip Media Crew is parked on the beach in the Racin'Dirty/DIRTnewz 4WD at N30.23.811 @ W115.54.282 outside a small village on the Pacific Coast awaiting the Rip Riders.
We have just heard from Big Daddy Chase 1 that all the Rip Riders are approaching San Quintin and will slab (ride on the Highway) for a short distance around the Old Mill before entering the beach and heading south towards EL Rosario.
Turbo Tom Geviss, John Marking, Chuck Cheek, Henk Wiessner all report one of the best days of riding they've ever had. Sunny skies, 70 degree temperatures and cutting the soft topping of the Earth with a motorcycle tire like never before. The conditions on the riding surface after the rain has been epic.
Cameron Steele texted us 22 minutes ago, "Dirty-Epic riding conditions today with the best chocolate cake frosting I've seen in years. Riding after the pouring rain yesterday has been incredible. Having fun buddy and see you south of Desert Inn on the beach. "
With frosty perfect sand dunes the 2010 Rip Riders are approaching the end of Day 2 as the sun is preparing to set over the Pacific Ocean. Tonight riders will be guests of Antonio's Baja Cactus Motel and will enjoy Mama Espinosa's where the Espinosa family has been a anchor in the off road community for over 45 years.
Mama Espinosa has been a highly valued stopping point for off road racers and surfers for many years and no doubt the 2010 Rip Riders will be experiencing only what an adventurer can experience in the wild blue yonder.

They are headed for the bay south of the Old Mill and then on to the beach and headed for the bluffs just north of El Rosario. Stay tuned as we will have updated pictures, videos, etc as they arrive.

Everyone was all good at the lunch break just a little while ago and riders were well on their way and ready to hit the DIRT once again.

The second day of the RIP is well under way as the riders head down the beach south toward San Quintin. Stay tuned as riders are heading toward the DIRTnewz crew now as we wait for their arrival on the beach.

All 28 riders were up early this morning, excited to hit the dirt for Day 2 of riding. Cameron Steele along with OX, Casey Currie, and more led the pack of riders south towards Cabo San Lucas. In yesterday's 109 mile ride 6 riders crashed out in the mud. All are okay but hoping to stay on two wheels in the 238 leg of today's ride. Stay tuned as we bring you the latest...
