SAN FELIPE, Mexico: The sands of San Felipe battered the world’s foremost off road racers over 248-miles of torturous terrain as competitors faced off in the renown SCORE San Felipe 250.
Finishing in the top spot was Germany’s Armin Schwarz driving the All German Motorsports Class 1 car. Schwarz unofficially claimed the top overall victory in the contest that saw many racers surrender due to mechanical failure of their race cars.
In the elite SCORE Unlimited Truck / Trophy Truck division, Arizona’s dynamic duo, Rick Geiser and Jesse Jones teamed up in a 1-day old GEISER-built race truck claiming the victory among a huge class of trophy trucks.
It's a beautiful Friday morning here in San Felipe, Baja, Mexico as everyone sets up for contingency for the 2010 SCORE San Felipe 250 race. Everyone is ready to kick things off while locals and spectators browse the streets from stand to stand. Racers have already lined up at the tech gate waiting to get through with the bikers holding their place up in front. The music is heard from blocks away as the crowd keeps flowing in. As more and more racers make their way in and out of tech inspection the crowd craves for more. The fumes of race fuel fill the streets as racers like Andy Mcmillin and BJ Baldwin make their way to the gates. All the race enthusiasts got to see a piece of every class today for this seasons San Felipe 250 race, from bikes and quads to the class 1 buggies and trophy trucks they were all here to please their fans. This has been a perfect warm and sunny day for contingency to get people eager for tomorrow’s race.

LOS ANGELES—As pre-running over the rugged race course heats up for next week’s 24th Annual MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, NASCAR Cup team owner/driver Robby Gordon leads 25 defending SCORE Desert Series season point champions among a veteran field that includes many of the world’s best desert racers who have entered this popular spring race.
Attracting entries from 24 states and eight countries, the lineup includes a race-record 34 entries in SCORE Trophy-Truck, the marquee racing division for high-tech, 800-horsepower unlimited production trucks. Round 2 of the 2010 SCORE Desert Series will be held next weekend in Mexico’s picturesque fishing village of San Felipe, located 120 miles south of the U.S. border on the East side of the Baja California peninsula along the azure waters of the tranquil Sea of Cortez.
SCORE International posted a revised course map for the 2010 SCORE Mastercraft Safety San Felipe 250 to be held on March 12-14, 2010. Pre-running for the event begins this Saturday, February 27th.

LOS ANGELES—Always trying to maintain consistency and quality in its friendly family of series sponsors and race partners, SCORE International, producers of the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Series in the U.S. and Mexico, announced today that it has extended its current agreement with Sunoco to include another three years as the Official Race Fuel Supplier for the five-race SCORE Desert Series.
Following January’s successful season-opening SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge in Southern Nevada, SCORE’s Sal Fish finalized the new agreement, negotiating with Sunoco Sales Manager Mitch Hart to complete the new three-year deal.
