DIRTnewz LIVE is excited to announce that we will move forward to a regular schedule for the remainder of 2009. The live online radio show, DIRTnewz LIVE, that has brought you live event coverage for the past four years under the DIRTnewz.com banner, will now launch into a regular show in addition to LIVE event shows as produced during the past four years here at DIRTnewz and previously at Off-Road.com.
“The timing is just right as fans of off road racing continue to seek out more and more information from one of the most exciting motorsports in the world.
‘Our original plan was to kick off the Internet radio show during this year’s SCORE Baja 500 event coverage, but we’ve simply turned up the schedule and we’ll launch it this week in partnership with the TORC Series,” explained DIRTnewz.com owner, Tim Sanchez.
Dedicated to the world of off road racing, DIRTnewz has long been the leader in comprehensive live event coverage from the SCORE Baja 1000 at the tip of the Baja Peninsula to Crandon International Raceway, where online race play-by-play is nothing new for the ‘DIRTnewz LIVE’ Show.
DIRTnewz is in the midst of a rigorous 55-event race schedule for the 2009 season working throughout each weekend to bring viewers the latest in off road racing.
“Adding the TORC Series to our stellar line up of ‘DIRTnewz LIVE’ is exciting for all involved. TORC now joins the list of off road racing series that have embraced our style of live coverage. It’s been over 10 years that we’ve been involved in producing and directing live coverage of off road races to the Internet and I’m excited about the opportunity to highlight the TORC Series online,” said Tim Sanchez.
Joining host, Tim Sanchez, will be off road racing veteran, Todd Tenbroek. Combined, the two off road racers have over 45 years of off road racing history between them. “Todd is like the Encyclopedia of Off Road Racing. His background and history is second-to-none and he knows the drivers and teams like no one else. Todd has literally lived his entire life in the off road racing world.”
Tenbroek commented, “Joining Tim ‘officially’ for the show has been in the works for a couple years and I’m stoked about it. We’ve got a lot of inside lines about drivers, teams and setups that we’ll be able to bring out to the fans listening online. It will be epic!”
Todd Tenbroek is the co-driver for the #31 FORD F-150 Trophy Truck raced by SCORE Baja 1000 Champion, Andy McMillin. Tenbroek has spent his entire life in the dirt and has been associated with many championship teams over the past 25 years. Todd is the Race Project/Support Manager at FOX RACING SHOX in Santee, California.
With the highly anticipated SCORE Baja 500 less than two weeks away and the first TORC Southern California race this week it was great timing to kick off the new season of shows.
“After the first TORC Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, our live event fans besieged us with emails why we couldn’t bring the live play-by-play of the race action. The contractual agreement between TORC and the television companies restricted us, but we still gave our followers the line-by-line action published live from the racetrack. Bringing the DIRTnewz LIVE show to the all of the online fans is just responding to what they all want,” explained Sanchez.
“The red tape has been all cleared up and we’re now moving forward to broadcast the race live trackside and we couldn’t be happier.”
We will also be producing additional ‘DIRTnewz LIVE’ shows from racing events throughout the nation including the Baja Peninsula. Between now and July 15th, we have a total of 60 hours of DIRTnewz LIVE Programming scheduled for the fans of off road motorsports.
The first ‘DIRTnewz LIVE’ Show will feature the 2009 TORC Series and will kick off Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. live from Chuy’s Restaurant in Corona, California. We will also be doing LIVE Shows from this weekend’s TORC Series Rounds 3 & 4 from Perris Speedway in Perris, California.
After this weekend’s epic TORC racing weekend we’ll have a special guest join us as we broadcast the Wednesday, June 3, 2009 SCORE Baja 500 show LIVE from Mike’s Sky Rancho outside of Valle Trinidad, Baja Norte.
