Albuquerque, New Mexico (May 7, 2008) - Rock Runner Racing’s Joachim Schwiesow further established himself as a force in rock racing with another strong finish at the Xtreme Rock Racing Association’s second event of the season.  Schwiesow and co-driver Mark Ruffing finished further back than usual in 13th place out of 35 teams, but with an extremely tight field they were less than a minute from qualifying for the shoot-out.  “We were pleased to keep our Twisted Customs buggy together all day,” Schwiesow commented. “This is the same vehicle that we used to compete in rockcrawling competitions, it is incredibly versatile.”  The team was running fast all day, but one mistake in the rocks on their last run was enough to knock them down several places in the standings.

May 3, 2008  - Monster Energy's Shannon Campbell roared back into the winner's circle after dominating the second stop of the four race XRRA Series rock race held in Albuquerque, New Mexico Saturday afternoon. Driving the Campbell Enterprises built custom single-seat rock racer, Campbell roared his LS7 Turnkey power package to an impressive win under the gorgeous blue skies of the Southwest.

April 18, 2008 –Rookie driver Nicole Johnson of Johnson Motorsports secured a top finish at the W.E.ROCK Western Series opener in Perris, CA over the weekend.  The Las Vegas based husband-and-wife team of Frank and Nicole Johnson officially kicked off its rookie season with a respectable fourth place finish in the team’s Campbell Enterprises built Pro Modified rock buggy. 

April 16, 2008 - Brad and Roger Lovell teamed up for the first 2008 WE-Rock rockcrawl and were victorious in the highly competitive Pro-Mod class. All the previous stars returned for 2008 and the class saw the addition of many veteran Super-Mod competitors such Tracy Jordan and Jason Scherer. The Pro-Modified was by far the largest class in the Perris, CA event with 24 entrants.

Excitement was in the air as engines fired and the 2008 points race began. “We were both a bit nervous,” said Roger, “We have not pushed the new Ranger to extremes in the rocks yet and were unsure of how it would perform.”

April 14, 2008 –Perris Raceway took on a different group of race fans this weekend as they opened their facility for the W.E.Rock season opener to southern California. Fans new and old came out to Ricky Johnson's Perris Raceway for extreme rock crawling action.
