Rockcrawling Champion, Shannon Campbell, unleashed the brand new Campbell Enterprises cruiser featuring Chevy LS1 power, FOX Racing Shox, Currie Axles, MasterCraft Seats & Belts, Lowrance GPS, Campbell Enterprises custom fiberglass hood, Vision X Off Road HID Lights, BFGoodrich Tires, ARB Lockers, Walker Evans Beadlock Wheels, Howe Performance Steering, TurnKey Chevy LS1 power and of course all the MONSTER Energy drink you can drink!
Shannon told DIRTnewz, "We built this trail rig for our Dad so he could hunt and fish in style. Of course we went overboard and it turned out pretty nice. My brother Nick and I, along with Dad worked on this trail rig for about 50 straight days." Campbell Enterprises is renown for the finest fabrication and development of off road racing and trail vehicles ever developed.
For over three decades, the Campbell family has been involved in professional motorsports.
Shannon Campbell and his brother Nick captured victory once again only the weekend prior to the Easter Jeep Safari at the W.E. Rock Western Nationals event in Globe, Arizona. |
The DIRTnewz crew headed to one of the famed locations here in Moab, Utah, Potato Salad Hill, where Shannon and his brother Nick woed the crowd with a very easy crawl up the obstacle. Potato Salad Hill has long been a gathering point in the late afternoon where throngs of spectators watch the experienced and inexperienced off roaders climb the rock obstacle. Often times a miscue will put the vehicle end-over-end providing the spectators with the reason they come to the location.
MONSTER Energy has planned to team with DIRTsports Magazine and together they will host the biggest party of the week on at the Moab Valley Inn. No doubt the stories will be abundrant from tonight's happenings.
Today kicked off the 41st Annual Easter Jeep Safari Exhibitors Show and the crowds were lacking when DIRTnewz perused the show for several hours on Thursday. Several exhibitors told DIRTnewz that the crowd was down today and they expected a much larger attendance on Friday, the final day of the of the exhibition show.
Some of the nation's top manufacturers were on hand, however it appeared that less vendors were exhibiting this year than in years previous. We spoke with a variety of people at the event who all reported many friends and family did not attend this year's Easter Jeep Safari due to the heavy crowds in past years.
But the diminished crowds have not stopped the hype and buzz going around the entire Moab Valley. After the big DIRTsports shindig, DIRTnewz wheelers, Mac Hampson, Nick Sessions, Aaron Dusenbery, Jason Hensel and the others will all head to Prichett Canyon for a night run up Upper Prichett. We'll have a full report on Friday afternoon.
Area BFE is hosting a full party with a DJ and dance stage at the rockcrawling park and they are expecting huge crowds for the party late into the evening. DIRTnewz will be headed to Area BFE after the crawl up Upper Prichett.
