Campbell WINS Back-to-Back Taking the Monster Energy To The TOP At XRRA Season Opener!

Moab, Utah –World class off road racer Shannon Campbell was all business Saturday at the season opener of the Maxxis sponsored XRRA Rock Racing Series. Campbell's extreme performance at Area BFE, south of Moab, Utah, wowed the massive crowds that packed into the natural amphitheatre for the show.

The nation's top off road racers gathered in Moab, Utah for this expanding series of rock racing. Campbell arrived early in the week after dominating the rocks of Globe, Arizona only a week prior capturing the W.E. Rock Western National Series rockcrawling victory.

Campbell and his family have been racing in professional off road motorsports for two decades and capturing back-to-back victories is not new for this team. Campbell wheeled his rockcrawler rig to the win on the rock pile of Globe and then arrived to Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, debuting the latest Campbell Enterprises trail rig, an incredible machine that Shannon and Nick built for their dad, Don Campbell. The crew wheeled the beautifully sculpted trail rig throughout the slickrock of the famed Utah landscape all week long.

All the fun and games of the Easter Jeep Safari ended on Friday evening when the Campbell Enterprises race team prepared for Saturday's event.

Unleashing a brand new single-seat rock racing car, Campbell partnered with Monster Energy for the new 2007 season. The entire Campbell Enterprises fleet of race cars, trail rigs and tow vehicles brands the most powerful energy drink on the rocks, MONSTER Energy. The new rock racing car features FOX Racing Shox air-shox, BFGoodrich off road racing tires, Walker Evans Wheels, Curries Axles, Howe Performance Steering and MasterCraft Safety Products to name a few of the intregal parts of the winning race vehicle.

MONSTER Energy's Joe Parsons was all smiles as Campbell roared his eight-into-one custom performance exhaust and sped across the finish line.

As Campbell blasted around the challenging course, the whine of the Campbell Ent. custom exhaust sounded more like an INDY car than an off road race car. Although not quite as fast as an INDY car, Shannon Campbell and his crew put on a spectacular MONSTER performance.

Racing in front of thousands of spectators in the first race of the four race series, Campbell outperformed Rick Dermo to take the victory. The course featured several difficult obstacles, along with a three open stretches of dirt that tested the overall performance of the driver and his machine.

Campbell criss-crossed through the cones and obstacles beating a long list of talented off road racers who have all taken to the latest craze in the off road rock world.

XRRA Officials hosted their season opener in conjunction with the end of the popular Easter Jeep Safari held in Moab, Utah. This year's 41st Easter Jeep Safari hosted an estimated 100,000 off road enthusiasts over the 10-day event.

AREA BFE, a private off road park located a mere five-miles south of downtown Moab, put on a great show throughout the entire week of the Easter Jeep Safari, providing night-wheeling under the lights from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. each night. The music thumped all night long, as hundreds of off road enthusiasts took advantage of AREA BFE.
