May 3, 2008  - Monster Energy's Shannon Campbell roared back into the winner's circle after dominating the second stop of the four race XRRA Series rock race held in Albuquerque, New Mexico Saturday afternoon. Driving the Campbell Enterprises built custom single-seat rock racer, Campbell roared his LS7 Turnkey power package to an impressive win under the gorgeous blue skies of the Southwest.

Racing against the nation's top rock racers including Rick Dermo, Aaron Dusenbery, Joachim Schwiesow, Rob Bonney and many others, Campbell drove his black and green machine the fastest in the multi-round race.

Campbell's racing schedule has been full recently as he began racing in the 2008 CORR Series in the Pro Lite truck class. Along with that, Campbell raced late into the night Friday night in a late-model car at a local Phoenix dirt track where he has been racing to gain experience racing door-to-door in the dirt in preparation for this season's CORR race.

After the Friday night late-model race in Phoenix, Campbell and a friend jumped into his truck and drove 7 hours to Albuquerque, New Mexico for Saturday's XRRA race.

Campbell said, "We drove through the night powered up by Monster Energy and after arriving here this morning my team had the race car prepared for us to simply get in and race. I can't thank my friend, family and crew for helping me out while racing three different competitive motorsports series in the past three weeks. To come out with a victory tops off the weekend. At the opening XRRA race a few weeks ago, we suffered some damage and failed to place, which is not to our liking. Then we went to the season opener of the CORR Series and struggled a bit in our first-ever professional truck race. Winning today means a whole lot and we are excited to get back to Phoenix and share the victory with the rest of the team and our friends. Then its off to Las Vegas for the Primm CORR Series race and we're stoked about that. We couldn't keep up our schedule without Monster Energy...we're just pumped up with another MONSTER Win!"

Smiling wide while drinking a tall ice cold can of Monster Energy Drink Shannon said, "Once again if it wasn’t for my awesome sponsors and their quality products we wouldn’t be here: We have to thank Monster Energy Drink, BFGoodrich, Currie Enterprises, Southwest Ground Control, Hughes Performance, Fat Performance, Turn Key Engine Supply, Fox Shocks, Howe Steering, Walker Evans Racing, Advance Adapters, Warn, ARB, Ron Davis, Wilwood, Mastercraft, and PowerTank because without them we'd still be building Jeeps in Phoenix."

Rounding out the top five at the XRRA Series Round 2 was Rick Dermo, Rob Bonney, Aaron Dusenbery and Terry Dagen.

Denver, Colorado's Carnage Crew Racing put together another top five finish and unofficially they'll take the lead in the XRRA West Series Championship Point's race after finishing second in the first race and claiming the fifth spot Saturday afternoon.

Driver Aaron Dusenbery commented, "We had a decent run today. The Poison-Spyder sponsored car worked really well and we're going to take the car all the way down to the frame now and create an even better race car by the next event. We've been working closely with several of our partners/sponsors and we expect to give Shannon a run for his money. I am not completely happy with fifth place. I came here to win and unless we can take home to the top shelf trophy then we have to get back to the drawing board and redesign this car to just plain go faster. We have some proven ideas that we are adding to the car and I plan to race much faster in the near future."
